Love In Action

Free at last, high school over and living on her own with the hope of happily ever after -- a marriage. Sometimes spouses don't share the same hope. Lovemaking and a new life didn't come with commitment. Pregnant and her husband pursuing another lover in another home, what to do? Kill the unborn boy and sterilize herself?

She is Joyce Meyer and at the time she probably didn't feel loved or loving, maybe she even questioned where is the enjoyable, abundant life God promised His people in John 10:10.

God didn't promise us that our circumstances would always feel enjoyable. He promised us that His love and joy is always inside and surrounding believers. God would like for us to feel continuous joy and to live in continuous awesome circumstances, but sin gets in the way.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring except God? Love anyway. Joyce Meyer didn't abort her son or sterilize herself. Resist sin like dismembering bodies through abortion and mutilating bodies through sterilization.

Lovers are not hardhearted, hopeless or intent on harming people. Lovers are passionate, persevering and practical. Elaine Riddick was raped at age 13. While giving birth to Tony Riddick via a C-section she was also sterilized by the state of North Carolina. Elaine Riddick didn't ask for the rape or the sterilization. She has for many years been asking North Carolina to compensate her and other people who were forcibly sterilized. Pastor Bob Fu of ChinaAid was one of the lovers who helped wife and husband Cao Ruyi and Li Fu to avoid a forced abortion in China. Li Dahai is alive because of love in action, and Pastor Fu is still in action loving others.

God the Son Jesus Christ says in John 13:34-35 Amplified Bible, "I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]."

The human body is a divine work of art. God designed for spouses to become closer through merry, marital lovemaking and occasionally lovemaking will include the beginning of a new life through the union of egg and sperm. Sex is supposed to be sublime and sensational. God's plan is good. Other plans are bad (sinful). Sin is anti-social. Partner sex outside of marriage, rape, abortion and sterilization are sin.

Abortionist Abu Hayat sliced off the arm of Ana Rodriguez during an attempted abortion and tried to frighten Ana's mom into paying $1,500 for the abortion ($1,000 in cash, $500 in the collateral of her passport, green card and jewelry.)

God wants us to watch what we are doing. Satan is always trying to stop love. When you look over your life today are you living in sin or showing the love of God?  Write to:

Legal But Not Moral

As a teenager Elaine Riddick lived in North Carolina in a two-bedroom house with her grandmother, who was affectionately called Miss Peaches. One day when the 13-year-old was walking home, a neighbor raped her and threatened to kill her if she refused to keep silent about the rape.

North Carolina state government workers also threatened Miss Peaches and Elaine Riddick. Government workers told Miss Peaches, who couldn't read, that if she wanted to continue to receive welfare benefits including food stamps that she must sign a form that gave the government permission to sterilize Riddick. When Riddick gave birth to her only child, a son named Tony Riddick, by cesarean section, she was also sterilized. Riddick did not find out that she had been sterilized until she was 19 and was told by North Carolina government authorities that her sterilization was done because Riddick was deemed mentally retarded and promiscuous and to stop the reproduction of such people.

What happened to Elaine Riddick, Tony Riddick and Miss Peaches was not moral, but it was legal. A 1933 North Carolina state law authorized the sterilization of people deemed to be 'mentally diseased, feeble-minded or epileptic.' It was not until 2003 that North Carolina made it illegal to forcibly sterilize people (NBC News, "State of Shame," November 2011.) Thirty-two US states practiced eugenics programs before and/or after World War II that included forced sterilization of those considered mentally and/or physically inferior.

Irregardless of what mental and/or physical abilities or disabilities we have, God loves us and desires wholeness and wellness for us spirit, mind and body. When someone is in a difficult situation desiring help God does not try to "solve" difficulties by killing people; instead He desires to heal people. In Luke 10 Jesus Christ shares the story of a Samaritan who participated in the healing of a man who had been robbed and beaten, and He teaches us to do likewise.

"You can't put a price on someone taking your womb or castrating you, it's humiliating,” Elaine Riddick told NBC News. Money helps to pay for physical and mental healthcare and other needs and wants. "I tip my hat to North Carolina,” she also told NBC News regarding the $10 million to be divided equally among victims of the former North Carolina eugenics program; “Finally they came to their senses and decided to do what's right.”

Un dicho (a proverb) says, "Amor primero, amor postrero" (Love, first and last.") All creyentes (believers) are called to be good Samaritans which is being a good neighbor in the Matthew 22:36-40 way: "Teacher, which kind of commandment is great and important (the principal kind) in the Law? [Some commandments are light—which are heavy?] And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself. These two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets."

ChinaAid, Women's Rights of China and US Congressman Chris Smith acted as good neighbors to Li Fu, Cao Ruyi and Li Dahai who live in China. When Cao Ruyi was five months pregnant she was forcibly taken to a hospital to have an abortion because she did not have the proper paper to have a child. No hospital bed was available. Her abortion was delayed enough for ChinaAid, Women's Rights of China and US Congressman Chris Smith to intervene. Cao Ruyi gave birth in a secret place to the married couple's only child, a son named Li Dahai, which means "our help came from overseas."

China has an one-child policy that includes forced abortion, forced sterilization, economic terrorism and other terrorism. Cao Ruyi and Li Fu are suffering a $15,000 fine for the unauthorized birth of Li Dahai.

Proverbs 14:28 English Standard Version Bible says, "In a multitude of people is the glory of a king, but without people a prince is ruined." Instead of forced sterilization and legal abortion, what are some ways governments can be good neighbors? Write to:

Hope, Help And Abortion

Abortion takes the life of many people, but not everyone. More than 50 years ago the mother of Gospel singer Fred Hammond went to an abortion clinic and had a dilatation and curettage abortion. D&C abortion entails having the cervix dilated or stretched to permit the insertion of a loop shaped steel knife. The body of the baby is cut into pieces and removed and the placenta is scraped off the uterine wall. Hammond's mom left the abortion clinic being informed that she would have a miscarriage at home and should return to the clinic with the contents in a bag. While she had bleeding, she didn't have a miscarriage. So she went back to the abortion clinic. As she was in the clinic preparing to have the abortion, God moved on her spirit, and she left. Her son, Fred Hammond, told The Donnie McClurkin Show, "Here's why I don't have time to play church. At the end of the day when I was supposed to be discarded, and the tools came in to kill me, and the tools came in to crush my head . . . The Lord took His hand, pushed in there, and pushed me back out of the way, and they thought they got me. But at the end of the day God had a plan for a broken situation . . . God hid me."

The tools of abortionist Abu Hayat sliced off the arm of baby Ana Rosa Rodriquez, but Ana and her mom, Rosa, who was in her third-trimester of pregnancy, managed to survive the abortion.

Husband and wife Li Fu and Cao Ruyi currently live in China with their only child, a son named Li Dahai, which means "our help came from overseas." When Cao Ruyi was five months pregnant she was forcibly taken to a hospital to have an abortion because she did not have the proper paper to have a child according to China's one child policy. No hospital bed was available. Her abortion was delayed enough for ChinaAid, Women's Rights of China and US Congressman Chris Smith to intervene. Cao Ruyi gave birth in a secret place, but she and her husband still face a $15,000 fine for the unauthorized birth of Li Dahai.

As wonderful as the stories of abortion survivors are everyone's life should be safe from abortion. Getting rid of abortion is a big challenge. A Japanese proverb says, "Even a thousand-mile journey begins with the first step." The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act is one piece of legislation that seeks to protect the lives of unborn girls and boys in America. Here's a link to send an email to your member of Congress to co-sponsor H.R. 1797 the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and to support the bill as is without changes: http://www.capwiz.com/nrlc/issues/alert/?alertid=62650516&type=CO.

Why Is a Man Like a Pepper?

When runaway slaves on the Underground Railroad were babies, Conductor Harriet Tubman would give them a small dose of a painkiller to cause the babies to sleep. The dose was small enough not to harm them, but large enough to ensure they were safe and did not slow down the Underground Railroad.

A Hausa of West Africa riddle asks, "Why is a man like a pepper?" Answer: "Until you have tested him, you can't tell how strong he is."

Harriet Tubman was tested as a conductor for the Underground Railroad. Instead of allowing challenges like delivering babies from slavery to freedom cause her to kill people, she creatively solved problems. Empowered by God the Holy Ghost, Tubman was able to rescue 300 runaway slaves and conduct them to safety in the North of the United States and in Canada without losing one slave.

God has a variety of heroes. ChinaAid, Women's Rights of China and US Congressman Chris Smith are heroes who helped husband and wife Li Fu and Cao Ruyi save their their only child, a son named Li Dahai, from death by forced abortion. China is afraid of babies. The Chinese one child policy includes forced abortions and forced sterilizations. Cao Ruyi gave birth in a secret place, but she and her husband still face a $15,000 fine for the unauthorized birth of Li Dahai, which means "our help came from overseas." Read more of the story at http://www.chinaaid.org/2013/03/cao-ruyi-whose-near-forced-abortion.html.

Most families in China are not rescued like Li Fu, Cao Ruyi and Li Dahai. Ma Jian writes in her May 22, 2013, The New York Times editorial "China's Brutal One-Child Policy," "On ramshackle barges moored on the remote waterways of Hubei and Guangxi, I met hundreds of "family-planning fugitives" -- couples who'd fled their villages to give birth to an unauthorized second or third child in neighboring provinces.

Almost every one of the pregnant women I spoke to had suffered a mandatory abortion. One woman told me how, when she was eight months pregnant with an illegal second child and was unable to pay the 20,000 yuan fine (about $3,200), family planning officers dragged her to the local clinic, bound her to a surgical table and injected a lethal drug into her abdomen.

For two days she writhed on the table, her hands and feet still bound with rope, waiting for her body to eject the murdered baby. In the final stage of labor, a male doctor yanked the dead fetus out by the foot, then dropped it into a garbage can. She had no money for a cab. She had to hobble home, blood dripping down her legs and staining her white sandals red."

A Persian proverb says, "No one is without grief." Brutal abortion practices are in America too.

In America if you are unborn and suspected of having a disability, you can be legally killed via abortion. Even if you are unborn and not suspected of having a disability, you can be killed for virtually any reason at all stages of pregnancy. American state abortion law has some variation. The Kermit Gosnell case is one that exposed that babies are also born alive but then killed after botched abortions. The following LifeNews.com link shows that Douglas Karpen is a Kermit-Gosnell-type abortionist killing unborn babies, babies born live after botched abortions and women: http://www.lifenews.com/2013/05/15/another-gosnell-report-shows-texas-abortion-doc-kills-babies-born-alive/; "“When he did an abortion, especially an over 20 week abortion, most of the time the fetus would come completely out before he cut the spinal cord or he introduced one of the instruments into the soft spot of the fetus, in order to kill the fetus,” said Deborah Edge, who worked as a surgical assistant for Karpen for about 15 years until leaving in March, 2011;" 15-year old Denise Montoya hemorrhaged and died after a 26-week abortion done by Karpen.

1 John 3:8 Amplified Bible says, "[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done]." Dissolving the works of the devil begins with exposing them. Abortionists cut off the body parts of baby girls and baby boys, dismember and destroy the unborn in other ways via abortion. Babies are dying inside their mothers' womb and being born alive then killed after botched abortions. Abortionists are also killing adolescents and women. Extensive media coverage of what goes on inside abortion clinics is essential. Please share media like the following The Atlantic article: http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2013/04/why-dr-kermit-gosnells-trial-should-be-a-front-page-story/274944/.
