Spouses are supposed to be joyous friends and lovers who engage in creative and comforting sex. God is the Creator. Christians are to imitate God who lives inside of us. Creative people cultivate new things, fresh things and old things, familiar things. Matthew 13:52 Amplified Bible says, "He said to them, Therefore every teacher and interpreter of the Sacred Writings who has been instructed about and trained for the kingdom of heaven and has become a disciple is like a householder who brings forth out of his storehouse treasure that is new and [treasure that is] old [the fresh as well as the familiar]."

Sterilization and rape hurt. A neighbor and North Carolina state raped Elaine Riddick. A neighbor raped Riddick at the age of 13 and threatened to kill her. North Carolina state raped Riddick by sterilizing her without her consent while she was giving birth to her son conceived through rape. When Rafael, who has autism, and I go to restaurants we don't usually see persons with autism, Down's Syndrome, intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy and other disabilities. Increasing the wage of service providers to the disabled would help the disabled enjoy restaurants with wait staff. In North Carolina $10 million is to be split equally among those sterilized through the North Carolina Eugenics Board. Compensation claims must be filed by June 30, 2014, for victims to receive a one-time payment to be distributed June 30, 2015. North Carolina had a eugenics board from the 1930s through the 1970s through which social workers, family and others arranged for people to be sterilized. In South Africa Desmond Tutu retired as archbishop to head the Truth and Reconciliation Commission that exposed many of the evils done under apartheid, so that evil may be stopped and good promoted. North Carolina is not the only American state that did state-sponsored sterilizations.
Cindy Trimm says in her book Commanding Your Morning, "Think big and think detailed!.... Become a visionary--be creative. Take the limits off your mind! Think beyond where you are.... Ask God to enlarge your capacity for thinking, to take the limits off." Other American states besides North Carolina and other nations need to apologize to, financially compensate victims and erase all forms of "family planning" evil.
The door to evil has not been closed. US Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote in the 1927 Buck v. Bell case upholding American state-sponsored sterilization, "It is better for all the world, if instead of waiting to execute degenerate offspring for crime or to let them starve for their imbecility, society can prevent those who are manifestly unfit from continuing their kind. The principle that sustains compulsory vaccination is broad enough to cover cutting the Fallopian tubes.... Three generations of imbeciles are enough." Like Roe v. Wade which legalized abortion in America Buck v. Bell has not been overturned.

Truth And Reconciliation Needed, Part 11
God calls us to think and not to become victims of tricks like "family planning" and a view of sex and sexuality that is not beautiful, balanced, Biblical.
Christians have the mind of God the Son Jesus Christ. Not using our mind is a sin. Jesus Christ includes foolishness as a sin. Mark 7:20-23 Amplified Bible says, "And He said, What comes out of a man is what makes a man unclean and renders [him] unhallowed. For from within, [that is] out of the hearts of men, come base and wicked thoughts, sexual immorality, stealing, murder, adultery, Coveting (a greedy desire to have more wealth), dangerous and destructive wickedness, deceit; unrestrained (indecent) conduct; an evil eye (envy), slander (evil speaking, malicious misrepresentation, abusiveness), pride (the sin of an uplifted heart against God and man), foolishness (folly, lack of sense, recklessness, thoughtlessness). All these evil [purposes and desires] come from within, and they make the man unclean and render him unhallowed."
Some embrace sterilization, abortion, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality through direct defiance of God. Careless thinking is cruel and criminal. 1 John 3:4 Amplified Bible says, "Everyone who commits (practices) sin is guilty of lawlessness; for [that is what] sin is, lawlessness (the breaking, violating of God’s law by transgression or neglect—being unrestrained and unregulated by His commands and His will)."
Careless thinking covers common sense and creates people easily led into evil and people easily distracted from loving deeds. Ephesians 5:14-17 Amplified Bible says, "Therefore He says, Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine (make day dawn) upon you and give you light. Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is."
God wills for Christians to change the culture. A bumper sticker says, "Virginia is for lovers." God wills for the globe to be a place for lovers filled with the love of God and people. God even desires for us to be loving to animals. 2 Kings 2:19-22 Amplified Bible says, "And the men of the city said to Elisha, Behold, inhabiting of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees, but the water is bad and the locality causes miscarriage and barrenness [in all animals]. He said, Bring me a new bowl and put salt [the symbol of God’s purifying power] in it. And they brought it to him. Then Elisha went to the spring of the waters and cast the salt in it and said, Thus says the Lord: I [not the salt] have healed these waters; there shall not be any more death, miscarriage or barrenness [and bereavement] because of it. So the waters were healed to this day, as Elisha had said."
Sterilization, abortion, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality are present in American, Chinese and other cultures filled with of the spirit of fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 Amplified Bible says, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." A sound, calm, well-balanced, disciplined and self-controlled mind doesn't seek mass prevention of people from existing, killing people, disabling them and ugly sexuality.
Advocates of sterilization, abortion, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality originally targeted the disabled, low-income and persons not of certain European heritage. Proverbs 26:27 Amplified Bible says, "Whoever digs a pit [for another man’s feet] shall fall into it himself, and he who rolls a stone [up a height to do mischief], it will return upon him." Sterilization, abortion, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality harm the entire human race. Abortion and sterilization are different from contraception. True contraception is a temporary way of preventing the union of egg and sperm not targeted toward certain groups of people and not used as a substitute for economic development. "Family planning" advocates are against true contraception and for birth control that is a weapon of mass destruction. God designed for some people to be single and some married couples to have no children. God designed for some married couples to have one, two, four, ten and more children. Sometimes people don't follow God's plan for marriage and sperm and egg unite outside of marriage. Sex outside of marriage is not God's will. Human life is God's will. God has a plan for each human life.
Pray and participate in good deeds to end evil. "Clamor del pueblo sube al cielo" ("The outcry of a people rises to heaven.") Love can overcome abortion, sterilization, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality. Sexuality should be a love feast.
Sin is a type of poverty. Sometimes people are tricked into thinking that poverty is a feast. Some people get sexual pleasure from S&M and other harmful behavior.
God made us with unique tastes. For every harmful behavior something helpful, happy and wholesome exists. True love inspires great actions. Ellen Craft and William Craft were spouses during the time of American slavery. Ellen Craft was also so fair-skinned that she could pass for white even though she was of mixed European and African ancestry. William was of African ancestry. They were both slaves. Ellen cut her hair and posed as a white man traveling with her black slave. Traveling in this manner the married couple escaped slavery in Georgia and went to freedom in England.
Christopher Yuan says he was strangled by a boyfriend/lover in his book Out Of A Far Country A gay son's journey to God. A broken mother's search for hope., and he continued to stay in the relationship for a while. How did he escape sexual slavery? Christoper Yuan says in this speech http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEDG2xxDGAg, "I didn't leave homosexuality because I thought it was so bad...I left homosexuality because I found something better, and His name is Jesus."
God the Son Jesus Christ is the answer for homosexuals and for everyone. Jesus Christ is the lover of humanity who teaches and empowers us to truly and generously love people. 1 John 4:7-11 Amplified Bible says, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him]. He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest (displayed) where we are concerned: in that God sent His Son, the only begotten or unique [Son], into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins. Beloved, if God loved us so [very much], we also ought to love one another."

Sexual sin doesn't have to stop us from enjoying fearless sex. Have you participated in killing an unborn boy or an unborn girl? If we are in relationship with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit, abortion and any other sin does not separate us from the love of God. Stop sinning, and shake off shame and condemnation. Enjoy friendships with the opposite sex and the same sex, and if marriage is God's will for you, also enjoy sex with your spouse. Refuse to allow shame and condemnation to steal the joy and the feast of sex with your spouse. Are you a male or female who survived an attempted abortion? Forgive your parents. Gianna Jessen is a survivor of a saline abortion that left her with cerebral palsy. She is also a Christian who has forgiven her parents for paying Planned Parenthood to try to kill her by abortion. When Jessen was born alive instead of dead from the attempted abortion, a nurse sent her to a hospital. Some medical people do not send babies born alive after attempted abortions to hospitals and instead leave them to die or try again to kill them. Human beings don't think truly good thoughts without change and a good power source. God changes Christians and comes to live inside of us. Once we are changed, God asks us to continually fight off foolish thinking and progressively think God's thoughts. We are not to keep God's thoughts to ourselves. We are to share with others changing the culture we live in. A global, Biblical sexual revolution will bring love to multitudes and erase evils like sterilization, abortion, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality. Romans 12:2 Amplified Bible says, "Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]."

Clarence Gamble, a colleague of Margaret Sanger, and also a leader in "family planning," wrote in Hygeia, the health magazine of the American Medical Association, January 1948, "Why fear Sterilization?" to justify forced sterilization, "Most frequent of all is the need to prevent children from being born to parents whose reproductive cells carry well defined inheritable defects. In many cases the parents themselves are not defective; the defect may show up first in the birth of a defective child, but in certain types of defect this means a strong likelihood that other children born to the same couple will also be defective. In a hereditary form of blindness, for example, it would seem criminal to allow additional children to be born to lives of darkness."
Chen Guangcheng is blind. He is also the husband of Yuan Weijing and the father of Chen Kerui and Chen Kesi. Chen Guangcheng filed a class-action lawsuit in China in 2005 against forced abortion and forced sterilization practiced as part of China's one-child policy. China put him in jail and house arrest from which he escaped and is now living in New York with his family. On September 24, 2013, Chen Guangcheng participated in a human rights press conference and called on the Barak Obama administration and world governments to demand that the Chinese government follow through on the no-retaliation promise they made to him and the U.S. government when he escaped China in 2012. Christians have the mind of God the Son Jesus Christ. Not using our mind is a sin. Jesus Christ includes foolishness as a sin. Mark 7:20-23 Amplified Bible says, "And He said, What comes out of a man is what makes a man unclean and renders [him] unhallowed. For from within, [that is] out of the hearts of men, come base and wicked thoughts, sexual immorality, stealing, murder, adultery, Coveting (a greedy desire to have more wealth), dangerous and destructive wickedness, deceit; unrestrained (indecent) conduct; an evil eye (envy), slander (evil speaking, malicious misrepresentation, abusiveness), pride (the sin of an uplifted heart against God and man), foolishness (folly, lack of sense, recklessness, thoughtlessness). All these evil [purposes and desires] come from within, and they make the man unclean and render him unhallowed."
Some embrace sterilization, abortion, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality through direct defiance of God. Careless thinking is cruel and criminal. 1 John 3:4 Amplified Bible says, "Everyone who commits (practices) sin is guilty of lawlessness; for [that is what] sin is, lawlessness (the breaking, violating of God’s law by transgression or neglect—being unrestrained and unregulated by His commands and His will)."
Careless thinking covers common sense and creates people easily led into evil and people easily distracted from loving deeds. Look carefully then how you walk! Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is."
God wills for Christians to change the culture. A bumper sticker says, "Virginia is for lovers." God wills for the globe to be a place for lovers filled with the love of God and people. God even desires for us to be loving to animals. 2 Kings 2:19-22 Amplified Bible says, "And the men of the city said to Elisha, Behold, inhabiting of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees, but the water is bad and the locality causes miscarriage and barrenness [in all animals]. He said, Bring me a new bowl and put salt [the symbol of God’s purifying power] in it. And they brought it to him. Then Elisha went to the spring of the waters and cast the salt in it and said, Thus says the Lord: I [not the salt] have healed these waters; there shall not be any more death, miscarriage or barrenness [and bereavement] because of it. So the waters were healed to this day, as Elisha had said."
Sterilization, abortion, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality are present in American, Chinese and other cultures filled with of the spirit of fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 Amplified Bible says, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." A sound, calm, well-balanced, disciplined and self-controlled mind doesn't seek mass prevention of people from existing, killing people, disabling them and ugly sexuality.
Advocates of sterilization, abortion, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality originally targeted the disabled, low-income and persons not of certain European heritage. Proverbs 26:27 Amplified Bible says, "Whoever digs a pit [for another man’s feet] shall fall into it himself, and he who rolls a stone [up a height to do mischief], it will return upon him." Sterilization, abortion, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality harm the entire human race. Abortion and sterilization are different from contraception. True contraception is a temporary way of preventing the union of egg and sperm not targeted toward certain groups of people and not used as a substitute for economic development. "Family planning" advocates are against true contraception and for birth control that is a weapon of mass destruction. God designed for some people to be single and some married couples to have no children. God designed for some married couples to have one, two, four, ten and more children. Sometimes people don't follow God's plan for marriage and sperm and egg unite outside of marriage. Sex outside of marriage is not God's will. Human life is God's will. God has a plan for each human life.
Pray and participate in good deeds to end evil. "Clamor del pueblo sube al cielo" ("The outcry of a people rises to heaven.") Love can overcome abortion, sterilization, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality. Sexuality should be a love feast.
Sin is a type of poverty. Sometimes people are tricked into thinking that poverty is a feast. Some people get sexual pleasure from S&M and other harmful behavior.
God made us with unique tastes. For every harmful behavior something helpful, happy and wholesome exists. True love inspires great actions. Ellen Craft and William Craft were spouses during the time of American slavery. Ellen Craft was also so fair-skinned that she could pass for white even though she was of mixed European and African ancestry. William was of African ancestry. They were both slaves. Ellen cut her hair and posed as a white man traveling with her black slave. Traveling in this manner the married couple escaped slavery in Georgia and went to freedom in England.
Christopher Yuan says he was strangled by a boyfriend/lover in his book Out Of A Far Country A gay son's journey to God. A broken mother's search for hope., and he continued to stay in the relationship for a while. How did he escape sexual slavery? Christoper Yuan says in this speech http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEDG2xxDGAg, "I didn't leave homosexuality because I thought it was so bad...I left homosexuality because I found something better, and His name is Jesus."
God the Son Jesus Christ is the answer for homosexuals and for everyone. Jesus Christ is the lover of humanity who teaches and empowers us to truly and generously love people. 1 John 4:7-11 Amplified Bible says, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him]. He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest (displayed) where we are concerned: in that God sent His Son, the only begotten or unique [Son], into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins. Beloved, if God loved us so [very much], we also ought to love one another."
Because God loves us, God does not will for us to have partner sex outside of marriage. Because God loves us, God wills for us to enjoy sex inside of marriage. God does not want any of us to be afraid of sexuality and try to stomp it out. God created sexuality. What God creates is good, beautiful and excellent provided we participate in God's creation according to His design. God designed sex to bond marital couples. Sometimes sex leads to reproduction. Sexual sin doesn't have to stop us from enjoying fearless sex. Have you participated in killing an unborn boy or an unborn girl? If we are in relationship with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit, abortion and any other sin does not separate us from the love of God. Stop sinning, and shake off shame and condemnation. Enjoy friendships with the opposite sex and the same sex, and if marriage is God's will for you, also enjoy sex with your spouse. Are you a male or female who survived an attempted abortion? Forgive your parents. Gianna Jessen is a survivor of a saline abortion that left her with cerebral palsy. She is also a Christian who has forgiven her parents for paying Planned Parenthood to try to kill her by abortion. When Jessen was born alive instead of dead from the attempted abortion, a nurse sent her to a hospital. Some medical people do not send babies born alive after attempted abortions to hospitals and instead leave them to die or try again to kill them. A neighbor and North Carolina state raped Elaine Riddick. A neighbor raped Riddick at the age of 13 and threatened to kill her. North Carolina state raped Riddick by sterilizing her without her consent while she was giving birth to her son conceived through rape. When I got my monthly cycle ... it felt like someone had taken a knife and was gutting me .... My menstrual cycle ... wasn't normal because it lasted ... 12 to 15 days at a time, and this happened from the time ... after I had my son from the time I was 14 until I got into my 40s when I eventually did have to have a total hysterectomy."
Riddick said in the CNN interview regarding the psychological pain of her sterilization, "You will never recover from this because it's always there. Every time you wake up when you go to sleep it's there. You think about how you've been treated in this country here. You think about--well me myself I had been so severely damaged until I was on Prozac, Serentil and Haldol, and that's how I coped. I had to wean myself off these things in order for me to cope, and I have to cope, and I have to go on."
Dr. Alveda King was also raped by a doctor and by Planned Parenthood. In America King was subjected to a forced abortion and a foolish abortion. King, who is the niece of Christian Minister and Civil Rights Activist Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was also subjected to other harmful "healthcare." God desires life, love and liberty for the elderly and people of all ages. Elderly people enjoy marital romance and sex; they do not want to be denied food, water and medical treatment. Human beings don't think truly good thoughts without change and a good power source. God changes Christians and comes to live inside of us. Once we are changed, God asks us to continually fight off foolish thinking and progressively think God's thoughts. We are not to keep God's thoughts to ourselves. We are to share with others changing the culture we live in. A global, Biblical sexual revolution will bring love to multitudes and erase evils like sterilization, abortion, infanticide, "family planning" and Margaret Sanger style sexuality. Romans 12:2 Amplified Bible says, "Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]."
God has a loving, prosperous plan for humanity. Deuteronomy 28:13 Amplified Bible says, "And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day and are watchful to do them."

Margaret Sanger of the American Birth Control League which became Planned Parenthood says in an interview with Mike Wallace, "I think the greatest sin in the world is bringing children into the world that have a disease from their parents, that have no chance in the world to be a human being practically, delinquents, prisoners, all sort of things, just marked when they are born. Clarence Gamble, a colleague of Margaret Sanger, and also a leader in "family planning," wrote in Hygeia, the health magazine of the American Medical Association, January 1948, "Why fear Sterilization?" to justify forced sterilization, "Most frequent of all is the need to prevent children from being born to parents whose reproductive cells carry well defined inheritable defects. In many cases the parents themselves are not defective; the defect may show up first in the birth of a defective child, but in certain types of defect this means a strong likelihood that other children born to the same couple will also be defective. In a hereditary form of blindness, for example, it would seem criminal to allow additional children to be born to lives of darkness."
Chen Guangcheng is blind. He is also the husband of Yuan Weijing and the father of Chen Kerui and Chen Kesi. Chen Guangcheng filed a class-action lawsuit in China in 2005 against forced abortion and forced sterilization practiced as part of China's one-child policy. China put him in jail and house arrest from which he escaped and is now living in New York with his family. On September 24, 2013, Chen Guangcheng participated in a human rights press conference and called on the Barak Obama administration and world governments to demand that the Chinese government follow through on the no-retaliation promise they made to him and the U.S. government when he escaped China in 2012. Chen Guangcheng also talks about his nephew, Chen Kegui who is the husband of Liu Fang and father of a young son named Chen Fubin, and he notes that Chen Kegui was put in the same jail shortly after Chen Guangcheng escaped China that Chinese authorities put Chen Guangcheng in after he filed the lawsuit against forced abortion and forced sterilization.
Whether we live in China, North Carolina, other parts of America and other parts of the globe God loves us and desires for us to live well with great joy. God does not want us to be passive and refuse to participate in good deeds. Are you a victim of American state-sponsored sterilization? Whose Time Is It?
Ephesians 5:15-17 Amplified Bible says, "Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is."
The Chinese invented the mechanical clock. It is never a good, productive use of time to be outside the will of God.
Jeanne Louise Calment was 122 when she died in 1997 in France; she holds the record for the world's longest living person in modern times. Jiroemon Kimura died at age 116 in Japan in 2013 and is the world's oldest man in modern times. No matter how long we live, this earthly life will end. Ending it without a relationship with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit equals a second death. Revelation 20:14-15 English Standard Version Bible says, "Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." Creyentes (believers) have their name written in the book of life and need not waste any time now or ever.
The second death can be avoided. John 1:12 Amplified Bible says, "But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—"
Helen Keller is a creyente who was blind and deaf. As a young person and even into her 70s and beyond, Keller traveled making speeches to help people live better lives. Keller said, "I thank God for my handicaps, for through them, I have found myself, my work, and my God."

She was a creyente who had a several-decades-long friendship and business partnership with Anne Sullivan and was a writer, speaker and advocate. Keller spoke out for a variety of causes including disability rights, women's right to vote, just working conditions for the poor and international peace.
God probably said to Helen Keller at the end of her earthly life "... Well done, you upright (honorable, admirable) and faithful servant! You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little; I will put you in charge of much. Enter into and share the joy (the delight, the blessedness) which your master enjoys" (Matthew 25:21 Amplified Bible.)
Do you believe God will say likewise to you? Are you making history pages in God's timing and will?

Generous, Big-Hearted and Open-Minded
Quincy Jones turned 80 years old in March 2013. In America he could have retired about two decades ago. Instead he has chosen to take his career focus from performer and producer to manager of new musical talent. He is managing Blush, a five-member, Asian, girl band, Emily Bear, an 11-year-old piano prodigy, Alfredo RodrÃguez, a jazz pianist, Justin Kauflin, a blind jazz pianist and others (James C. McKinley Jr., May 22, 2013, The New York Times article "Latest in His Hyphenate? Manager Quincy Jones, After Years as a Performer-Producer, Now Scouts Young Talent.")
Permanent retirement of the elderly is not Biblical. God teaches us to fight the good fight of faith for all of life and to take periodic rest periods of worshiping Him through service. One Sabbath is to take place for one year every seven years. Leviticus 25:3-7 New Living Translation says, "For six years you may plant your fields and prune your vineyards and harvest your crops, but during the seventh year the land must have a Sabbath year of complete rest. It is the Lord’s Sabbath. Do not plant your fields or prune your vineyards during that year. And don’t store away the crops that grow on their own or gather the grapes from your unpruned vines. The land must have a year of complete rest. But you may eat whatever the land produces on its own during its Sabbath. This applies to you, your male and female servants, your hired workers, and the temporary residents who live with you. Your livestock and the wild animals in your land will also be allowed to eat what the land produces."
Jesus interprets the Mosaic Law and the Prophets in a way that gives God the highest glory and people the greatest good. If they had a one-year Sabbath in the Old Testament, how much better should it be since the birth of the Christian Church?

Governor Mary Fallin signed into law HB 1403 The Nondiscrimination in Treatment Act of Oklahoma which protects the elderly, seriously ill and disabled by preventing medical providers from denying individuals life-saving treatment based on their quality of life. The Nondiscrimination in Treatment Act of Oklahoma will take effect November 1, 2013.
Elderly people have more life experience than other human beings. An African proverb says, "When an elder dies it is as if a whole library had burned down."
God wants our library to be full of a life well lived. John 10:10 Amplified Bible says, "The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)."
Perhaps if we listened to and obeyed God about the one-year or more Sabbath, more creative and compassionate solutions to social problems would be found and implemented. Families need more quantity and quality time together. Singles and others need to serve people more. Perhaps we would see more diversity in everyday life. For example, perhaps a way to build more restaurants with African food and food from the peoples of the African diaspora would be in suburb and rural places. More consistent and comprehensive coverage would be found in the media of the disability community, African countries and peoples of the African diaspora. One in six Africans is a Nigerian, but media coverage of Nigeria is rare. Way more coverage exists of the European Union than the African Union.
A Chinese proverb praises the "generous, big-hearted and open-minded." Paid employment leave and diversity exemplify these qualities and are good for everyone.

Permanent retirement of the elderly is not Biblical. God teaches us to fight the good fight of faith for all of life and to take periodic rest periods of worshiping Him through service. One Sabbath is to take place for one year every seven years. Leviticus 25:3-7 New Living Translation says, "For six years you may plant your fields and prune your vineyards and harvest your crops, but during the seventh year the land must have a Sabbath year of complete rest. It is the Lord’s Sabbath. Do not plant your fields or prune your vineyards during that year. And don’t store away the crops that grow on their own or gather the grapes from your unpruned vines. The land must have a year of complete rest. But you may eat whatever the land produces on its own during its Sabbath. This applies to you, your male and female servants, your hired workers, and the temporary residents who live with you. Your livestock and the wild animals in your land will also be allowed to eat what the land produces."
Jesus interprets the Mosaic Law and the Prophets in a way that gives God the highest glory and people the greatest good. If they had a one-year Sabbath in the Old Testament, how much better should it be since the birth of the Christian Church?

"Dumb Ass" Discrimination
Whether a person is a disabled worker or a disabled person unable to work, disability discrimination can be defeated. On May 1, 2013, a federal jury awarded $240 million to 32 mentally disabled men who endured decades of discrimination and abuse in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act while working for Henry’s Turkey Service. On April 26, 2013, Governor Mary Fallin signed into law the Oklahoma Nondiscrimination in Treatment Act which takes effect November 1 and is modeled after anti-discriminatory language in federal law. The law, the first of its kind to be signed into law in the United States of America, will prevent health care providers from denying treatment "on the basis of a view that treats extending the life of an elderly, disabled, or terminally ill individual as of lower value than extending the life of an individual who is younger, nondisabled, or not terminally ill."
Discrimination against persons with disabilities is widespread. The New York Times says Bureau of Labor Statistics show that the unemployment rate for Americans with disabilities is 75 percent higher than for those with no disabilities.
A May 2, 2013, "Workers win $240 million verdict from Texas company" Star-Telegram article says about the Henry’s Turkey Service case brought to court by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), "Jurors were told that the men were called “retarded,” “dumb ass” and “stupid,” and were physically struck and kicked. In at least one case, a disabled worker was handcuffed to a bed. Other punishment included being forced to walk in circles lugging heavy weights. One man had been kicked in the groin and was found with “testicles that were quite swollen,” an EEOC psychologist testified. Others were often locked in their bedrooms at night, she said. Moreover, windows leaked during rainstorms, soaking the men’s beds."
All human life is valuable because each one of us, disabled or typical, is designed by God. Exodus 4:11 New Living Translation Bible says, "Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord? "
Nick Vujicic, who was born without arms and legs, writes in his book Unstoppable The Incredible Power of Faith in Action, "Over time I spoke more and more about my faith. Evangelism and inspiration became my greatest passions. Speaking about my love of God and the blessings in my life, including my disabilities and the strength they give me, allows me to serve others. It's given my life a purpose, one that I believe God created for me."
God created all human beings as sexual beings. God designed single sexuality and partner-sex for marriage only. Some persons with disabilities celebrate their sexuality in singleness others in marriage. Vujicic, who is of Serbian heritage, is married to Kanae Loida Vujicic-Miyahara, who is of mixed Latino and Japanese heritage. On February 13, 2013, this married couple celebrated the birth of Kiyoshi James Vujicic, their son and first child.
Christian minister and Civil Rights Activist Martin Luther King, Jr., says, "This is the ultimate tragedy of segregation. It not only harms one physically but injures one spiritually. It scars the soul and degrades the personality. It inflicts the segregated with a false sense of inferiority, while [giving] the segregator...a false estimate of his own superiority." What King said about segregation can be applied to other types of discrimination.
We do not have a federal holiday to recognize the contributions of persons with illnesses and/or disabilities. Abraham Lincoln, who issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, encouraging border states to outlaw slavery, helped push through Congress the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which finally freed all the slaves nationwide in December 1865, led the United States through the American Civil War preserving the Union and battled periods of depression, has some good advice: "I don't like that man. I must get to know him better."
One way the Japanese get to know people better is by enjoying a tea ceremony. Ethiopians do it by enjoying a coffee ceremony. Tea, coffee and other things can be enjoyed by the disabled and the typical on any day especially on February 12, which is Lincoln's birthday.
Instead of a holiday honoring multiple presidents on one day, what about a separate federal holiday recognizing Lincoln whose birthday is February 12, 1809? Write to me about it at:

Chen Guangcheng, who became blind as a result of a childhood illness and now wears dark sunglasses, is a self-taught lawyer from China who helped the disabled win public benefits and aided farmers fighting illegal land seizures. Guangcheng became internationally known for filing a 2005 law suit against a local government for forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China’s one-child policy. Later he endured physical and psychological abuse in jail and in house arrest. Eventually he escaped to the United States and testified before Congress on April 9, 2013, regarding human rights abuses in China.

Elderly And Able To Work For Good
"Yet despite the overall aging of the work force, many organizations are heading in the opposite direction. One executive at a major investment bank remarked with concern that the average age of his firm was 32. This phenomenon is not unique to corporations. Many medical institutions and universities have also shifted to younger workforces. But according to research by Benjamin Jones of Northwestern University, a 55-year-old and even a 65-year-old have significantly more innovation potential than a 25-year-old.
If an organization wants innovation to flourish, the conversation needs to change from severance packages to retention bonuses. Instead of managing the average age downward, companies should be managing it upward," writes Tom Agan for The New York Times article "Why Innovators Get Better With Age."
The Bible does not endorse retiring at age 62 or any other age. Some of the greatest Biblical leaders were elderly people like Moses, Abraham and Joshua. Abolitionist, Women's Rights Activist and Christian Sojourner Truth was giving speeches in her 80s.
Discrimination against the elderly is not the Bible way. The Bible way is periodic rest, not permanent removal from the workforce.
God teaches us to work well and rest well. The Gospel books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are filled with stories of Jesus Christ challenging His Jewish people to practice the Sabbath in a way that provides maximum help for people. Mark 2:27 Contemporary English Version Bible says, "Jesus finished by saying, “People were not made for the good of the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made for the good of people."

Jiroemon Kimura celebrated his 116th birthday on April 19, 2013, in Japan making him the world's oldest living man according to the Guinness World Records. Guinness World Records says a Japanese woman, Misao Okawa, at 115 is the world's oldest living woman. Jeanne Louise Calment was 122 when she died in 1997 in France; she holds the record for the world's longest living person in modern times. Calment lived two years longer than Moses, but not as long as Abraham who died at the ripe old age of 175.
Not everyone is going to have a long, healthy life. All life is created by God and valuable. "As long as there is one ... oppressed human being in this world the struggle la lucha continua," said Dr. Georgia McMurray, educator, writer and activist who had the progressively degenerative muscle disorder Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.

Enjoy Yourself
Entertainment is essential to our well being. Jesus Christ participated in parties like the wedding at Cana (John 2.)
Having a good time helps to make sure we keep a merry heart. Do you shop, play sports or do something else for recreation? Proverbs 17:22 Amplified Bible says, "A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones."
An African proverb says, "Work is good, provided you do not forget to live."

Being able to have fun is something to thank God for giving us in America.
Fun times can be had in church buildings. Some churches have comedy shows, music festivals, dinners, poetry nights and other forms of recreation. Pastor Abedini was setting up Christian house churches and an orphanage in Iran before he was placed under house arrest. Having a good time helps to make sure we keep a merry heart. Do you shop, play sports or do something else for recreation? Proverbs 17:22 Amplified Bible says, "A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones."
An African proverb says, "Work is good, provided you do not forget to live."
Chen Guangcheng, who became blind as a result of a childhood illness and now wears dark sunglasses, is a self-taught lawyer from China who helped the disabled win public benefits and aided farmers fighting illegal land seizures. He became internationally known for filing a 2005 law suit against a local government for forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China’s one-child policy. Later he endured jail and house arrest. Eventually he escaped to the United States and testified before Congress on April 9, 2013, regarding human rights abuses in China.
Even a human rights activist has fun. Chen Guangcheng went to Disneyland with Actor and Activist Christian Bale in January 2013.
Some people are not in a position to enjoy recreation. Pastor and U.S. Citizen Saeed Abedini is being physically and psychologically abused in an Iranian prison for his Christian faith which Iran considers a threat to their national security. Being able to have fun is something to thank God for giving us in America.
Fun times can be had in church buildings. Some churches have comedy shows, music festivals, dinners, poetry nights and other forms of recreation. Pastor Abedini was setting up Christian house churches and an orphanage in Iran before he was placed under house arrest. Elderly, Disabled, Unborn, Strangers, Freedom, Love
Sometimes elderly African-American slaves were freed not as a favor but as a means to cut off the expense of providing food, clothing, shelter, etc. for those who were sick and/or disabled and could no longer produce at previous levels. Such was the case of elderly, married, slave couple James Baumfree and Mau Mau Bett Baumfree. The Baumfree's slavemaster, Charles Hardenbergh, became sick and died. What to do with his estate?
Since James Baumfree was sick and disabled he was freed, and his wife Mau Mau Bett was freed to take care of him. Hardenbergh also owned the Baumfree's children who were put on the auction block and sold to another slave master since they were young and could work much.
Hardenbergh was of Dutch heritage. He also spoke English, but deliberately did not allow his slaves to learn English, adding a layer of difficulty for his slaves to escape slavery since English is the primary language in America. So when Mau Mau Bett sought employment to support herself and her husband after they were freed from slavery her employment options were limited because she spoke Dutch instead of English. One day Mau Mau Bett went into a coma and died. James died of starvation because no one could take care of him after Mau Mau died.
No matter what age we are or what abilities we have or do not have, God loves us. God is good to His friends and even His enemies. Matthew 5:43-45 New Living Translation Bible says, "“You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike."
An African proverb from Zaire says, "A kind person is the one who is kind to strangers."
Discrimination preys upon those who are strangers, sick, disabled, too young to speak up for themselves and others. The Nondiscrimination in Treatment Act of Oklahoma protects the elderly, seriously ill and disabled by preventing medical providers from denying individuals life-saving treatment based on their quality of life.
Sadly discrimination is widespread. In Frederick, Maryland, a young man, Robert Ethan Saylor, was killed in a movie theater in January 2013 because people didn't understand someone with Down Syndrome. Many unborn boys and girls are being discriminated against because of their place of residence and age. In America since Roe v. Wade legalized abortion 55 million babies have been killed. Since China's one-child policy was implemented in the 1970s more than 336 million babies have been killed by abortion; that's more Chinese baby boys and baby girls have lost their lives to abortion than the combined total population of the United States of America and Australia. And so many other people are being discriminated against.

Guangcheng's lawsuit was rejected, and he was placed under house arrest in Shandong, China, with guards surrounding his house, his cell phone service cut off and bright lights shinning on his house at night.
Tejas is the name the Spanish gave to what became the US state of Texas. The Spanish chose the name based on a Native American word for "friend."
Guangcheng, a blind self-taught lawyer, had friends help him to escape from house arrest in April 2012 and to enter the US embassy in Beijing. A deal was worked out between China and the United States; now Guangcheng lives in New York with his wife, Yuan Weijing, and children.
On April 9, 2013, he testified before a subcommittee of the U.S. House Committee On Foreign Affairs about his family's and other people's persecution in China and other ongoing human rights abuses in China. Guangcheng gave Congress a list of 130,000 Chinese officials involved in forced abortions and forced sterilizations.
When Guangcheng was under house arrest in Shangdong, China, Actor Christian Bale tried but failed to visit the activist to publicize his plight.
Andrew Jacobs of The New York Times with others attempted to visit Guangcheng when he was under house arrest. Jacobs was met by a man who swatted at his car with a broom and called for back up who detained Jacobs. The security back up took the reporters' camera and deleted their images. When Jacobs was driving out of town, he was followed by a car with the license plate covered over by paper.
Guangcheng's nephew, Chen Kegui, has been in jail after using knives to fend off local officials who burst into Kegui's home after Guangcheng's escape.
Chen Guangcheng said, "Recently, many friends and neighbors who I have been in touch with by phone have been taken into custody by the authorities for questioning. They have been threatened and made to describe what our conversations have been about," (January 29, 2013, Reuters article entitled "Blind dissident urges global pressure on China over rights" by Paul Eckert.)
A Japanese proverb says, "An evil act runs a thousand miles."
Discrimination, all types of abortion, involuntary sterilization and a lack of free speech are evil acts to be exposed, eliminated and replaced by the love of God. 1 John 4:7-11 Complete Jewish Bible says, "Beloved friends, let us love one another; because love is from God; and everyone who loves has God as his Father and knows God. Those who do not love, do not know God; because God is love. Here is how God showed his love among us: God sent his only Son into the world, so that through him we might have life. Here is what love is: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the kapparah for our sins. Beloved friends, if this is how God loved us, we likewise ought to love one another."

Novel Submission
"And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ," writes the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:20-21 New Living Translation Bible. These are verses that are violated in so many ways globally with men and women missing opportunities to help each other.
The New York Times February 27, 2013, article "Desperate Hunt for Day Care in Japan As More Women Work, a Shortage Poses a Threat to Economic Growth," implies that fathers and mothers are not equally participating in the rewards and responsibilities of parenthood, which is a global reality.
The article features the plight of Ayaka Okumura in trying to secure day care for her daughter, Ayane. Ayaka, a manager at an accounting firm, does all the hunting for day care, expresses fret that she did not time her pregnancy to put her name toward the top of day-care waiting lists and even wonders if she should have cut short her legally-guaranteed-one-year-maternity leave to better position herself on the day-care waiting lists, which for Japanese-government-subizied-day-care centers is more than 25,000 long and many private day care centers also have long waiting lists.
No where in the article does it talk about a one-year-legally-guaranteed-paternity leave for Ayane's father and Ayaka's husband, Masanori. A one-size-fits all, unequal, imbalanced approach to childcare puts a strain on marriage and parenting in Japan, America and other places. In America one-year of paid leave is not legally guaranteed. "Vive la difference!" is a French saying meaning, "Long live the difference (between the sexes)." Ayane and others like her are not receiving balanced input from their fathers and mothers denying these children the learning of the difference in the sexes and the enjoyment of a close relationship with both their fathers and mothers. Relationships require both quality and quantity time.
If two or more instead of one were working on child care, maybe Ayane could enjoy two years or more of being cared for by her parents instead of a day care center, and Ayaka, who says in the article, "I'm filled with so much worry, and completely spent," could rest more releasing inspiration for both her marriage with Masanori and her parenting of Ayane. Well-rested wives are more interested in sex than tired wives. Wouldn't it be nice for husbands and wives to sit face-to-face, hugging each other while engaging in deep vaginal penetration, kissing and eye contact on a frequent basis without fatigue?
What about a men's and women's movement pushing for one-year or more paid paternity leave? Some social rules need to be challenged by creative, courageous, compassionate people. A Hausa of West Africa riddle asks, "Why is a man like pepper?" Answer: "Until you have tested him, you can't tell how strong he is."
Long-term paid leave is good for singles, married people, everyone! Read my articles, "Paid Leave Please" and "Paid Leave is Good for Us."
Also two years or more of paid leave (one year or more for dad and one year or more for mom) is time to work on the heads and hearts of other family members to help with child care. Maybe Ayane and others like her would never have to go to day care before going to school?

Elderly family can use some of their free time to help raise younger family. This is an investment that can pay dividends for eternity. International Christian ministers Dennis and Barbara Rainey say, "God designed the family to be a spiritual garden that grows flowers for today and seeds for tomorrow."
Besides day care and paid maternity leave, what are some novel ways to support marriages and raise children?

You Are Never Too Old
Sexual love doesn't have to end when we reach a certain age. Jack, a character in the romantic comedy Don Juan DeMarco, says to Marilyn, his wife of more than 30 years, "You have very, very beautiful eyes." Marilyn comments, "Come on. You know I have to go upstairs, and um I'm going to take my calcium so my bones don't break into little pieces, my aspirin so my heart doesn't clog up, my Metamucil so I don't get colon cancer, and of course my estrogen to convince my body that I'm still 23." Jack responds, "Come here." They kiss, and marital, senior sex ensues.
Abraham also enjoyed marital, senior sex. Abraham had his first child at 86 and seven more stretching well into his 100s.
In God's eyes age is just a number not a reason to stop living a full, enjoyable life advancing God's Kingdom through relationship building.
If you are not making frequent delicious with your spouse, contact a Bible teacher, Bible counselor, Christian sex therapist and/or Christian marriage counselor. God designed sexual relations for spouses to give and to receive enjoyment from each other while strengthening their marriage. Whether one screams out in passion, silently savors sex or is somewhere in between, marital sex is made for merriment. Solomon writes in Proverbs 5 The Message Bible, "Enjoy the wife you married as a young man! Lovely as an angel, beautiful as a rose—don’t ever quit taking delight in her body."
Sex at 60 and beyond may not be the same as sex at 25, but then again it may be even better. Moses was married, and he was also in his right mind and healthy body up to death at 120. Imagine the sexual expertise and possibilities!
Please share something sweet about senior sexuality. Herbert and Zelmyra Fisher of North Carolina have been married 85 years (86 in May 2013) and hold the Guinness World Record for the longest marriage of a living couple. Zelmyra is 101 years old. Herbert is 104 years old. They have 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
How did the Fishers stay married so long? They are Christians who are good lovers and good friends. Solomon's Shulammite wife says about Solomon in Song of Solomon 5:16 New Living Translation Bible, "His mouth is sweetness itself, he is desirable in every way. Such, O women of Jerusalem, is my lover, my friend."
Abraham also enjoyed marital, senior sex. Abraham had his first child at 86 and seven more stretching well into his 100s.
