"As I have already said, our number one goal should be to develop a close, intimate, personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Being in continual fellowship with God and learning to obey Him in all things will make you happier than you might ever imagine. Since God is Life, how can we hope to enjoy life apart from Him?" (Joyce Meyer, Making Good Habits Breaking Bad Habits 14 New Behaviors That Will Energize Your Life) Good, enjoyable relationships start with God who is love and expand to self and other people. "Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 New Living Translation Bible.) 1 John 4:10-11 Amplified Bible says, "In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins. Beloved, if God loved us so [very much], we also ought to love one another."
Desmond Tutu and Nomalizo Leah Shenxane married on July 2, 1955. Almost 6o years later they are still married and still loving and enjoying God, each other and other people. Desmond Tutu is also involved in helping to free from a Chinese prison Chen Kegui, husband of Liu Fang, father of the little boy Chen Fubin and nephew to Chen Guangcheng, who is the blind, human rights activist who exposed forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China's one-child policy and is continuing to work to end China's one-child policy and other human rights violations. Tutu writes about Chen Guangcheng in a June 21, 2013, Huffington Post article "Chen Guangcheng: Has NYU Bowed to Pressure From China?", "Chen Guangcheng has been one of the most outspoken of the Chinese dissidents abroad, taking a public stand against Chinese human rights violations, including the abominable practices of forced abortion, imprisonment and enslavement of religious minorities, and the unthinkable execution of prisoners for the harvesting and sale of their organs. He is also charismatic, intelligent, with a wonderful story -- a self taught lawyer who defended villagers against corrupt officials, who before gaining fame for his escape from house arrest was known ... in the villages as the "barefoot lawyer.""
When Jesus Christ lived on earth, He had a variety of relationships. Wherever He went, He sought to make people's lives better now and forever. What are some of the ways people are better off for being around you? Write to:

Sex And Reparations For The Disabled
The United States is a nation with a motto "In God We Trust." God counsels us in Proverbs 3:29 Amplified Bible, "Do not contrive or dig up or cultivate evil against your neighbor, who dwells trustingly and confidently beside you."
Sometimes instead of trusting God, our government becomes an evil neighbor. Thirty-two US states practiced eugenics programs that included forced sterilization of the disabled.
Kim Severson reports in the July 25, 2013, The New York Times article "North Carolina: Budget Pays Eugenics Victims" that the North Carolina state board ran a eugenics program from 1933 through 1977 that sterilized about 7,600; on July 25, 2013, North Carolina became the first state legislature to approve payment to victims of government-run forced sterilization programs. Ten million is to be shared by each victim through an one-time payment on June 30, 2015 (Lynn, Charlotte Observer, "N.C. budget would end teacher tenure, pay some private school tuition," July 22, 2013.)
Fear of the sexuality of people who are different is part of our past and present. The 1927 Buck v. Bell Supreme Court decision ruled that forced sterilization of people with disabilities was not a violation of their constitutional rights. By the 1970s, more than 60,000 disabled people were sterilized without their consent. Forced sterilization is illegal today, but the sexuality of the disabled is not widely celebrated.
Nick Vujicic was born without arms and legs. Today he is married to Kanae Loida Vujicic-Miyahara. The couple have a son named Kiyoshi James Vujicic. As an adolescent Nick Vujicic says he experienced bullying about his sexuality. Vujicic writes in his book Unstoppable The Incredible Power of Faith in Action, "Day after day, he'd walk by me and shout out, "Nick has no --!""
God made our bodies, and we are to use them according to His design. 1 Corinthians 7:3 New Living Translation Bible says, "The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs."
A Nigerian proverb says, "Our children are living messages sent to a future we may never see." Kiyoshi James Vujicic is a child witness celebrating the sexuality of those with disabilities. Perhaps when he is an adult American society and other societies will think it common and not a point of criticism for people with all kinds of disabilities to marry and to have children.
Americans of Japanese and other Asian heritage were interned in camps during World War II. Starting in 1990 the US government sent survivors reparations of $20,000.00 each. Do you think other states should pay reparations to victims of forced sterilization? Write to:

Beautiful Sexuality and Brutal Sexuality
If you sin, don't compound sins. If you have sex outside of marriage and a baby is conceived, don't automatically marry. Being unequally yoked in a relationship is more than counsel for creyentes (believers) not to marry unbelievers; it is also counsel for creyentes to marry creyentes of similar spiritual maturity.
For example, say a parent praises God for having a child, but refuses to pay for the child to eat, have clothes, shelter etc. and/or refuses to develop a relationship with the child. Matthew 18:15 Amplified Bible says, "If your brother wrongs you, go and show him his fault, between you and him privately. If he listens to you, you have won back your brother. But if he does not listen, take along with you one or two others, so that every word may be confirmed and upheld by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If he pays no attention to them [refusing to listen and obey], tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a pagan and a tax collector."
If someone isn't faithful with one child, is it sensible to expect that she or he will be faithful in marriage and with other children?
In America one can be so unfaithful to an unborn baby boy or baby girl as to have legal permission to kill the child. In China they take it further and make it compulsory. Ma Jian writes in the May 22, 2013 The New York Times "China's Brutal One-Child Policy," "Village family-planning officers vigilantly chart the menstrual cycle and pelvic-exam results of every woman of childbearing age in their area. If a woman gets pregnant without permission and is unable to pay the often exorbitant fine for violating the policy, she risks being subjected to a forced abortion.
According to Chinese Health Ministry data released in March, 336 million abortions and 222 million sterilizations have been carried out since 1971. (Though the one-child policy was introduced in 1979, other, less-stringent family planning policies were in place before it.) ...
Almost every one of the pregnant women I spoke to had suffered a mandatory abortion. One woman told me how, when she was eight months pregnant with an illegal second child and was unable to pay the 20,000 yuan fine (about $3,200), family planning officers dragged her to the local clinic, bound her to a surgical table and injected a lethal drug into her abdomen.
For two days she writhed on the table, her hands and feet still bound with rope, waiting for her body to eject the murdered baby. In the final stage of labor, a male doctor yanked the dead fetus out by the foot, then dropped it into a garbage can. She had no money for a cab. She had to hobble home, blood dripping down her legs and staining her white sandals red."
God created sexuality. Sexuality is beautiful when expressed according to God's Biblical design. What a wonder for spouses to engage in full body exploration coupled with Japanese love licks (oral sex) and marital intercourse with the husband entering his wife from the side while she has a leg over her husband.
When people try to redesign God's design for sexuality, sexuality becomes brutal. Abortionists in China, in America in any place are not nice people. Watch this video about abortionist LeRoy Carhart describing his work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIlYXmG287g.
We cannot develop beautiful relationships by killing unborn boys and unborn girls and misusing sexuality. The personal has a public dimension. Christian Minister and Civil Rights Activist Martin Luther King, Jr., said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." Former Mexican President Benito Juarez said, "The respect for the rights of others is peace."

Anything Is Possible
In Mark chapter 9 of the Bible the story of a father who had a son with a dumb spirit that no one could cure is recorded. The father had sought various people to cure his son including Jesus Christ. Mark 9:23 Amplified Bible says, "And Jesus said, [You say to Me], If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are possible) to him who believes!"
Jesus Christ was willing to heal his son, and He healed him.
China has a one child policy with forced abortions and forced sterilizations that's been going on since 1979. A Malagasy African proverb says, "Let not your love be like a torrent: heavy at first but swiftly abating." People have been trying to get rid of this policy and other human rights violations in China for a long time, and some still expect to see human rights flourishing in China.
"Anything is possible in this world," said Human Rights Activist Chen Guangcheng about such changes in China (Rosie Gray, BuzzFeed, "Chen Guangcheng: Chinese Government “In A State Of Madness,” May 14, 2013.)
Tejas is the name the Spanish gave to what later became the US state of Texas. Tejas is based on a Native American word for friend.
A good friend prays for people in positions of power to do good. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 Amplified Bible says, "First of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way. For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior, Who wishes all men to be saved and [increasingly] to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the [divine] Truth."
Pray for US President Barak Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping as they meet today and tomorrow in California.

Is Anyone Safe In China?
Reverend Desmond Tutu of South Africa writes in An African Prayer Book, "...we are made to live in a delicate network of interdependence with one another, with God and with the rest of God's creation. We say in our African idiom: "A person is a person through other persons." A solitary human being is a contradiction in terms. A totally self-sufficient human being is ultimately subhuman. We are made for complementarity. I have gifts that you do not; and you have gifts that I do not. Voila! So we need each other to become fully human."
One of the ways that Tutu is trying to complement humanity is by serving as Honorary Co-Chair of Freedom Now. Jared Genser, Freedom Now pro-bono counsel for Chen Kegui, sent an April 29, 2013, letter to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Torture, seeking medical treatment for the appendicitis of Chen Kegui who is in Linyi Prison following a trial "that failed to meet international standards for due process" and an arrest close to the time that Kegui's uncle, human rights activist Chen Guangcheng escaped China.
In 2005 Chen Guangcheng filed a class action lawsuit against local government officials practicing forced abortions and forced sterilizations as part of China's one child policy. Guangcheng suffered time in Linyin Prison and house arrest before escaping house arrest. Then the United States and China negotiated Chen Guangcheng coming to America in spring 2012.
Speaking about China's one child policy in a video released in December 2012 to mark Human Rights Day Chen Guangcheng says, "It is a sin, because life is sacred."
China's one child policy is anti-life, anti-family as are all policies that permit abortion and involuntary sterilization. In addition to the baby boys and baby girls killed by abortion, Tonya Reaves, Christin Gilbert, Jennifer Morbelli, Denise Montoya are some American women killed by botched abortions. Maria Santiago is another woman recently killed at an abortion clinic. Read more about Maria Santiago and the abortion clinic she went to at http://www.lifenews.com/2013/05/29/hispanic-woman-dies-after-abortion-clinic-staff-had-no-cpr-training/. Some unborn babies survive botched abortions. Ana Rosa Rodriquez is a living girl missing an arm because an abortionist trying to kill her as an unborn baby sliced off her arm. Some other unborn babies who survived abortions are Gianna Jessen, who has cerebral palsy, and Gospel singer Fred Hammond, who has no physical damage from the attempted abortion.
Some people are trying to preserve and to promote life. Husband and wife Du Yiliang and Guo Yanling and their three children are refugees in Thailand who would like to live safely in their homeland China, but can't due to China's one child policy. Is anyone safe in China? In 1995 when Guo Yanling was eight months pregnant, she was forced to undergo an abortion. In 1999 she was forcibly sterilized. In 2006 Guo Yanling was imprisoned for not being able to pay a fine for having more than one child. Du Yiliang's and Guo Yanling's three children cannot attend school or receive government benefits because the unpaid fine is used as a block to obtaining household registrations for their three children. The household registrations allow children to attend school and to receive government benefits. Du Yiliang's and Guo Yangling's family experience is typical in China. What is not typical is that they have been granted refugee status in Thailand in 2011. For more on this family whose troubles are not over and others like them read http://www.chinaaid.org/2012/07/sister-guo-yanling-christian-in-guangxi.html.
Having the opportunity to live in equality, freedom, justice, safety and love are God's desire for us. God wants what is good for us. The devil (the thief) wants what is bad. The devil is the author, maintainer and promoter of China's one child policy and abortion and involuntary sterilization globally. Jesus Christ says in John 10:10 Amplified Bible, "The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)."
Let's kick the devil off the planet. Embrace God and people.

You Cannot Borrow a Face
At age 16 Mary Shadd taught African American students. As an adult in addition to teaching and public speaking, she started a weekly newspaper, The Provincial Freeman, which was geared to help African Americans with life in the Northern United States, and she married Thomas Cary. Later on Mary Shadd Cary became a recruiting officer for the Union army.
After African Americans were freed from slavery and colored men got the right to vote, women of all races still could not vote in America. Some men and women were organized to help women secure the right to vote. Mary Ann Shadd Cary organized the Colored Women's Progressive Franchise Association and became a lawyer in her senior years.
Mary Shadd Cary was always doing something for freedom, equality and justice. She says, "It is better to wear out than to rust out."
Creyentes (believers) who are reinas y reyes (queens and kings) are called to fight the life-long good fight of faith in our good God against that which is evil. Saul, who later became the Apostle Paul, met Jesus Christ on a road in Damascus, Syria. Saul was so impressed that he spent the rest of his life traveling and telling people of various cultures and languages about a now and eternal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Elizabeth Cady Stanton writes in her Declaration of Sentiments, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men and women are created equal." The Apostle Paul writes in Galatians 3:28 Amplified Bible, "There is [now no distinction] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
Sometimes the truth about equality takes time to take hold in a society. All societies have people who are not treated equally. A ChinaAid News March 24, 2013, "With ChinaAid's Help, Two Victims of China's One-Child Policy Granted UNHCR Refugee Status" article reports that in 1995, when Guo Yanling was eight months pregnant, she was forced to have an abortion. In 1999, she was forcibly sterilized. In 2006, she was imprisoned for not being able to pay a fine for having more than one child. The Chinese government also refused to issue household registrations to her and to her husband, Du Yiliang's, three children without which they are unable to attend school or to receive government benefits. Guo Yanling's and Du Yiliang's abortion, sterilization, educational and economic terror experience is typical in China. What isn't nearly as typical is that with ChinaAid’s help, Guo Yanling and Du Yiliang have been granted refugee status by the UN High Commission on Refugees. Notes of encouragement to Du Yiliang and Guo Yanling, requests for interviews and financial contributions to ChinaAid's Emergency Relief Fund can all be submitted to ChinaAid founder and president Bob Fu at http://www.chinaaid.org/2013/03/with-chinaaid-help-two-victims-of-china.html.
In America if you are unborn and suspected of having a disability, you can be legally killed via abortion. Even if you are unborn and not suspected of having a disability, you can be killed for virtually any reason at all stages of pregnancy. American state abortion law has some variation. The Kermit Gosnell case is one that exposed that babies are also born alive but then killed after botched abortions. The following LifeNews.com link shows that Douglas Karpen is a Kermit-Gosnell-type abortionist killing unborn babies, babies born live after botched abortions and women: http://www.lifenews.com/2013/05/15/another-gosnell-report-shows-texas-abortion-doc-kills-babies-born-alive/; "“When he did an abortion, especially an over 20 week abortion, most of the time the fetus would come completely out before he cut the spinal cord or he introduced one of the instruments into the soft spot of the fetus, in order to kill the fetus,” said Deborah Edge, who worked as a surgical assistant for Karpen for about 15 years until leaving in March, 2011;" 15-year old Denise Montoya hemorrhaged and died after a 26-week abortion done by Karpen.
How many abortionists are like Kermit Gosnell and Douglass Karpen? Where is the extensive media coverage of what goes on inside abortion clinics?
An African proverb from the nation Angola says, "You can borrow a basket and a sieve; you cannot borrow a face." Once people are killed via abortion, they cannot get their life back.

How Many Abortionists Like Gosnell and Karpen Are There? What Is the Abortion Industry Really Like?
Some are jealous, envious and hateful of what we have. They pretend to be our friend and try to get us to do things to "help" us that are really intended to harm us.
Satan had a special relationship with God. He lost that and couldn't get it back. In jealousy, envy and hatred of the relationship Adam and Eve were having with God, Satan pretended to be Eve's friend and influenced her to eat the harmful forbidden fruit. She then influenced Adam to eat it (Genesis 3).
Civil Rights Activist Fannie Lou Hamer went to a doctor believing she was getting friendly medical treatment; instead her doctor sterilized her because he hated black people and their sexuality. Fannie Lou Hamer had enviable social skills gained as the youngest of 20 children and used those skills to help African Americans gain voting rights and power within the Democratic Party.
Jealousy, envy and hatred are not racially exclusive. In China in the name of helping people, the Chinese one child policy has lead to more than 330 million deaths by abortion and 196 million sterilizations. Imagine that--the populations of one continent and one country being exterminated; that is what more than 330 million abortions represents; it's more than the population of America and Australia combined.
A Chinese proverb says, "pointing to a deer and calling it a horse;" meaning "right and wrong are deliberately mixed up." Satan specializes in confusion. Satan got Eve to mistake the identity of God. Eve thought that God was her enemy denying her power and thought that Satan was her friend helping her to choose something good.
God made Adam and Eve as reyes y reinas (kings and queens.) They ruled the earth and enjoyed sex without fear. Genesis 2:25 Complete Jewish Bible says, "They were both naked, the man and his wife, and they were not ashamed."
Today sadly much of sexuality is soaked in fear. The spirit of fear does not produce freedom. Abortion and sterilization in China are about coercion. Notes of encouragement to Du Yiliang and Guo Yanling, requests for interviews and financial contributions to ChinaAid's Emergency Relief Fund can all be submitted to ChinaAid founder and president Bob Fu at http://www.chinaaid.org.
Some people want us to think that it is helpful to kill people and to mutilate their bodies as opposed to finding solutions to challenging situations. In America our sexuality policies do not have the level of coercion that China's do, but both America's and China's sexuality policies are rooted in fear, confusion, hatred and other evil.
American segregation was promoted as a way to empower people at the expense of other people. Today we don't have legal segregation, but we do have legal abortion. Legal abortion is promoted as a way to empower people at the expense of other people. Christian minister and Civil Rights Activist Martin Luther King, Jr., wrote in a 1963 letter from the Birmingham, Alabama, City Jail, "Injustice anywhere is a treat to justice everywhere."
Common sense should show that abortionists, people who cut apart baby girls and baby boys and dismember them in others ways for a living, are not compassionate, quality medical providers to adolescent and adult women. The job of an abortionist requires cutting off a good conscience.
The trial and sentencing of Abortionist Kermit Gosnell has received some media attention with his killing of babies born alive after botched abortions and the death of a woman. He should be exposed for the grisly murderer he is. LifeNews.com has also reported on another Gosnell-style abortionist named Douglas Karpen. Read his story at http://www.lifenews.com/2013/05/15/another-gosnell-report-shows-texas-abortion-doc-kills-babies-born-alive/
However, where is the muckraking national and global journalism investigating the entire abortion industry? Since the beginning of China's one child policy more than 330 million babies have died by abortion. Since Roe v. Wade, there have been more than 55 million abortions in America and very little coverage of what's going on in abortion clinics. A comprehensive investigation of the abortion industry is long overdue as it impacts people at all levels of society.
Every abortion involves an unborn baby, a male parent, a female parent and others.
Parenting is undervalued and distorted globally. In America a pervasive idea exists that parents are asexual caretakers of children, and if you want passion, find it in infidelity instead of marriage.
The first parents were married, naked (sometimes having sex) and it was natural, beautiful, passionate and good. Let's get back to the original design of sexuality. Using the Bible as our guide, why not collect the best of various cultures and incorporate it into our own? In the movie Dances With Wolves, the wife of the Sioux Native American holy man is on top of him making love with her husband while friends and family are in the tent mostly sleeping. Children need to see a model of marriage with love and incredible sex. Make us want to be married. On the occasions that siblings are produced from marital lovemaking, embrace them instead of trying to erase them through abortion.
Marital lovemaking is primarily for the closeness of the couple. Some beautiful sexuality is not connected to pro-creation. The Japanese describe oral sex as love licks.
An African proverb says, "When an elder dies it is as if a whole library has burned down." Let's check out the library before it burns down. What are some wonderful martial lovemaking ideas from Africans, Native Americans, Japanese and others?

Overcoming the What Ifs
The Apostle Paul says in 2 Timothy 1:7-8 Amplified Bible, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. Do not blush or be ashamed then, to testify to and for our Lord, nor of me, a prisoner for His sake, but [with me] take your share of the suffering [to which the preaching] of the Gospel [may expose you, and do it] in the power of God."
One of the things the spirit of fear does is it attacks our mind with the "what ifs." About one year ago Chen Guangcheng, a blind, self-taught lawyer, escaped house arrest in Shandong, China, walking at night for several miles until he met up with He Peirong, who drove him to the US embassy in Beijing, China. Guangcheng probably got attacked with the thought, "What if I get caught? How will the Chinese authorities harm me?"
Harriet Tubman probably also had times in her life when she was attacked with the what ifs. Harriet Tubman started out as Harriet Ross born into slavery in Maryland. As a teenager, a slave overseer hit Harriet in the head with a lead brick because she was blocking his throw to stop another slave trying to escape slavery. Harriet was hit so hard that she became unconscious. The hit did lifetime damage. From that time on she suffered seizures and uncontrollable sleeping spells. Having a disability didn't mean that Harriet wanted to remain a slave. When she thought about escaping slavery, what if thoughts probably came to her mind like, "What if I run away and get caught by slave catchers and their bloodhounds? Will I be whipped? Will I be sold further South? Will I fall asleep or have a seizure at the worst possible moment?"
Some parents today decide to have prenatal testing. They may be thinking thoughts like, "What if the test determines that our baby has a disability like Down syndrome? What if the pregnancy is carried to term? How long will I be a parent? How am I going to afford this? What happens when I die? What will people think and say about a disabled child? How will they treat us?"
Fear comes to all of us. What does God say to do with it? "Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9 Amplified Bible) When fear attacked Chen Guangcheng, he still moved to escape house arrest inflicted on him by Chinese authorities for filing a 2005 class action lawsuit against local officials involved in forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China's one child policy. When fear attacked Harriet Tubman, she still moved to escape slavery via the Underground Railroad (a network of people who helped runaway African American slaves find freedom in non-slave American states or in Canada.) Some parents instead of choosing to abort their child who may or may not have a disability, choose life and celebrate it. Sarah and Todd Palin have a son who has Down Syndrome. Their car bumper sticker says, "My kid has more chromosomes than your kid."
Creyentes (believers) are reinas y reyes (kings and queens). We are not called to be intimidated by adversity. We are called to press through adversity overcoming evil with good. Philippians 1:28-29 Amplified Bible says, "And do not [for a moment] be frightened or intimidated in anything by your opponents and adversaries, for such [constancy and fearlessness] will be a clear sign (proof and seal) to them of [their impending] destruction, but [a sure token and evidence] of your deliverance and salvation, and that from God. For you have been granted [the privilege] for Christ’s sake not only to believe in (adhere to, rely on, and trust in) Him, but also to suffer in His behalf."
Chen Guangcheng is still speaking out about human rights abuses in China while his family in Shandong, China is being persecuted by Chinese authorities. Chen Guangcheng, Yuan Weijing, Guangcheng's wife, and Bob Fu, founder and president of ChinaAid, are currently in Europe meeting with governmental authorities and human rights organizations to shine the light on China's human rights abuses. Harriet Tubman not only escaped slavery for herself, she also successfully lead hundreds of slaves to freedom via the Underground Railroad. Some parents are not only choosing life for their unborn babies, they are also working to make it illegal to kill people just because they have or may have a disability.
The spirit of fear seeks to get us to cooperate with evil and to focus on failure/difficulty or potential failure/difficulty. No one has a totally successful easy life. Having failures and difficulties are not reasons to faint. For creyentes, our destination is a now and eternal relationship with a good, loving God. A Yoruba of Nigeria proverb says, "One should keep one's eyes on one's destination, not on where one stumbled."

Chen Guangcheng Doesn't Settle For Less Than The Best, Why Should You?
God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Ghost is a God of excellence and completion. He doesn't want us to behave halfheartedly and haphazardly toward Him or toward other people. Luke 10:27 Amplified Bible says, "And he replied, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself." 3 John 1:2 Complete Jewish Bible says, "Dear friend, I am praying that everything prosper with you and that you be in good health, as I know you are prospering spiritually."
Creyentes (believers) are reinas y reyes (queens and kings.) We are valuable and deserve outstanding treatment both male and female and of whatever racial, ethnic or other background. Satan wants us to think small and settle for less than God's best.
For years abolitionists and women's rights activists worked together supporting each others causes. Yet when the Fifteenth amendment was ratified in 1870 effectively extending the right to vote to African American men and other men of color, some wanted women to suck it up and shut up about their lack of a right to vote.
Abolitionists and women's rights activists like Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and others said we are going to stand up and to continue to seek all that is due us.
Christopher Yuan, who used to practice homosexual sex and is now a celibate, public speaker for Jesus Christ says that unconditional love is not unconditional acceptance of bad behavior.
Are you refusing to deal with bad behavior in a relationship? God doesn't settle for less than the best. God cares enough about us to bring His best out of us and in our relationships.
About one year ago the US and China agreed to allow Chen Guangcheng, his wife, Yuan Weijing, and their two children to leave China and to come to the United States. China agreed not to harass or to harm the Chen Guangcheng family still in China. In 2005 Guangcheng, a blind, self-taught lawyer, filed a class action lawsuit against local government authorities involved in forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China's one child policy. He was put in jail then in house arrest in Shandong, China.
Guangcheng, Weijing, their son and their daughter are in the United States now, but Guangcheng's nephew, Chen Kegui, was arrested shortly after Guangcheng left China last spring after Chinese authorities burst into his house, and he attempted to defend himself. Chen Kegui is currently in jail and has not been taken to a hospital for treatment of acute appendicitis. Chen Kegui is married to Liu Fang. The couple have a young son, Chen Fubin. Last Thursday morning Guangcheng's brother, Chen Guangfu, was beat up by unidentified men who stopped him while he was riding his electric bike, which they destroyed. Other acts violence have been perpetrated against the Chen family since Chen Guangcheng came to America last year.
In addition to testifying before Congress on April 9, 2013, Chen Guangcheng and others have been speaking and seeking to get China to honor all of their side of the agreement that allowed Guangcheng to leave China while bringing attention to forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China's one child policy and other human rights abuses in China.
One of Guangcheng's friends is Bo Fu, founder and president of ChinaAid. They have been meeting with members of Congress. They reaped some fruit from their labors when a letter dated May 13, 2013, was sent to Secretary of State John Kerry signed by both House Speaker John Boehner and Minority leader Nancy Pelosi as well as six other senior Republican and Democratic members of Congress including Chris Smith, Frank Wolf, Illeana Ros-Lehtinen, Joseph Crowley, James McGovern and Rick Larsen.
Some of the things the letter urges US Secretary of State John Kerry to obtain are:
1) medical treatment for Chen Kegui
2) medical parole for Chen Kegui
3) a meeting between US Secretary of State John Kerry, Chen Guangcheng and Yuan Weijing
4) denial of US visas to 44 officials involved in persecuting Chen Guangcheng's family
Bad behavior can be brought around to good. God doesn't often speak to us audibly. He usually speaks to our inner person leading us to what is right. If we don't do what He says, God can use community correction. Unity can be used for good. An East African proverb says, "When minds are the same, that which is far off will come."
Pray that US Secretary of State John Kerry and President Barak Obama's administration takes the actions requested in the bi-partisan Congressional letter. Don't only pray about leaders, pray about all of your life and relationships. God enjoys a lot of communication and is very responsive. He wants the best life for us privately and publicly. 1 Tesalonicenses 5:17 Biblia Bilingue Version Reina-Valera 1960 dice, "Orad sin cesar." 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Bilingual Bible New King James Version Bible says, "Pray without ceasing."

Expect the Unexpected
We all have expectations of how others should act. Mary, Martha, Lazarus and Jesus Christ were friends. When Mary and Martha called on Jesus to heal Lazarus, their brother who was dying, they expected Jesus to come soon and heal Lazarus. When Jesus didn't come right away, they didn't understand.
In the movie The Flowers of War a Chinese father assists the invading Japanese soldiers as a way to get his daughter to safety. The daughter doesn't understand her dad's involvement with the Japanese, and she thinks his involvement is evidence that he is a bad person.
Doing the unexpected does not necessarily mean doing something unkind. Jesus Christ delayed His visit to Mary, Martha and Lazarus because He wanted to show that what He had been saying (Jesus Christ is God; God can raise the dead; and God can give eternal life) was possible and true. Jesus' delay allowed Jesus to raise a dead and decaying person (Lazarus) from the dead to new life, showing God is truthful and powerful.
When it seems that the Japanese are going to rape and murder the daughter in The Flowers of War, the daughter is discouraged about being rescued and decides to lead herself and other girls to commit suicide.
The devil specializes in creating circumstances to discourage people. A Japanese proverb says, "An evil act runs a thousand miles." Chinese authorities are trying to discourage people from protesting China's one-child policy. Zhang Yimou, the director of The Flowers of War, is being threatened by Chinese authorities with a fine of nearly $27 million for allegedly fathering seven children. After Chen Guangcheng filed a 2005 lawsuit against local officials practicing forced abortions and forced sterilizations as part of China's one-child policy, he went to jail and house arrest. He only got out of house arrest by escape and by negotiation between the U.S. and China. Many boys and girls haven't gotten out and have been killed by forced abortions, and many parents have been involuntarily sterilized.
The advocates of discouragement are not destined to ultimately win. Christian Minister and Human Rights Activist Desmond Tutu says in part of "An Easter Message:"
"Nothing could have been deader than Jesus on the cross that first Good Friday. And the hopes of his disciples had appeared to die with his crucifixion. Nothing could have been deeper than the despair of his followers when they saw their Master hanging on the Cross like a common criminal. The darkness that covered the earth for three hours during that Friday symbolized the blackness of their despair.
And then Easter happened. Jesus rose from the dead. The incredible, the unexpected happened. Life triumphed over death, light over darkness, love over hatred, good over evil. That is what Easter means--hope prevails over despair. Jesus reigns as Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Oppression and injustice and suffering can't be the end of the human story. Freedom and justice, peace and reconciliation, are his will for all of us, black and white, in this land and throughout the world. Easter says to us that despite everything to the contrary, his will for us will prevail, love will prevail over hate, justice over injustice and oppression, peace over exploitation and bitterness."
Awesome leaders are born in adverse times. Not long after Jesus Christ was born, Herod ordered that the male babies of Bethlehem, Israel, be killed. Christian Minister and Civil Rights Activist Martin Luther King, Jr., was born in 1929 during the American Great Depression.
Even though more than 330 million boys and girls have lost their lives to abortion in China since the implementation of China's one-child policy, and more than 55 million American babies have been killed by abortion since Roe v. Wade, God is up to something good. Unexpected heroes in The Flowers of War rescue the suicidal daughter and girls. Fred Hammond started out as a baby on whom an abortion was attempted; today he is an adult Gospel singer. Don't let the devil suck you into discouragement. Continuously stand up for life, love and freedom. Un dicho (a proverb) dice, "El que persevera triunfa." (Whoever perseveres, triumphs.") An Ethiopian proverb says, "Anticipate the good so that you may enjoy it." God lives inside of creyentes (believers) giving us the power to live 1 Corinthians 13:7 Amplified Bible which says, "Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]."

Rich, In The Middle Or Poor Family Planning Persecutes All
Just because God loves us does not mean that He does not get mad at our behavior. Some ancient Jews practiced abortion, infanticide and other forms of child killing. Psalm 106:37-40 Complete Jewish Bible says, "They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons. Yes, they shed innocent blood, the blood of their own sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to Kena‘an’s false gods, polluting the land with blood. Thus they were defiled by their deeds; they prostituted themselves by their actions, For this Adonai’s fury blazed up against his people, and he detested his heritage."
The reasons for abortion, infanticide and other forms of child killing may change with the times, but sadly the practices are still common today globally. God didn't like these practices in the past, and He hasn't changed His mind in the present. Hebrews 13:8 Amplified Bible says, "Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages)."
God created us as sexual beings. Sexuality has multiple beautiful, balanced, Biblical expressions. One expression of sexuality that pleases God is when a married couple enjoys sexual relations and in addition to the closeness of the couple, a new life is created. While sex is the means through which new life may be created at certain times of the month, God is the one determining if new life will be created. The author of human life is God and not the government or any other human being.
But in China and other places, human beings are trying to take the place of God. China has a one-child policy which includes forced abortions and forced sterilizations.
The New York Times "Chinese Filmmaker Is Investigated by Family Planning Officials" May 10, 2013, article by Edward Wong says, "China's most celebrated film director, Zhang Yimou, is being investigated for a potential violation of family planning laws, an official said Thursday, confirming reports in the state news media.
Family planning officials are examining discussions on the Internet that say Mr. Zhang has fathered up to seven children with four women. If he is found to have violated the laws, he could be fined nearly $27 million because the fines are based on the offender's income, according to a report in the online edition of People's Daily, the official mouthpiece of the Communist Party."
Chinese authorities do not just use fines to enforce China's one-child policy. In October 2012 Actor and Activist Christian Bale presented Chen Guangcheng, a blind, self-taught lawyer and human rights activist, with an award at the annual gala of Human Rights First. Bale said, "He [Chen] had exposed a program of forced abortion and sterilization in Shandong. A program of forced abortion means that women are being dragged from their homes against their will. They are being forced to have abortions, sometimes late-term -- imagine that -- with some women reportedly dying in the process. Now this is true horror. And in this insane world, this man, Chen, who was helping these women -- who was living by some of the most simple, brave and universally admired values -- values that we teach our children every day, and helping our fellow man -- for this, this man was imprisoned and beaten for over four years."
In 2005 Chen Guangcheng filed a class-action lawsuit against a local Chinese government for forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China’s one-child policy. Guangcheng's lawsuit was rejected, and he was placed under house arrest in Shandong, China, with guards surrounding his house, his cell phone service cut off, access to the Internet blocked and bright lights shinning on his house at night. His wife, Yuan Weijing, and daughter were living with him under house arrest. This family was prevented from meeting their wider family, including Chen Guangcheng's and Yuan Weijing's son, who lived elsewhere with an aunt.
Last spring He Peirong drove Guangcheng to the US embassy in Beijing, so that he could escape house arrest in Shandong, China. Were they traveling in a Corolla, the best-selling car of all time produced by the Japanese company Toyota?
After Peirong drove Guangcheng to the US embassy, the US and China worked out a deal, and Guangcheng escaped to the United States.
Guangcheng and his nuclear family got out of China, but his extended family is being intensely persecuted. Freedom Now, a human rights group, has written an April 29, 2013, letter to the United Nation's Special Rapporteur on Torture seeking to get Chen Kegui, Guangcheng's nephew, to a hospital for urgently needed medical treatment and out of jail for a sentence that appears to be retaliation for Guangcheng's outspokenness on Chinese forced abortions and forced sterilizations and other Chinese human rights violations. Also yesterday morning, Guangcheng's brother, Chen Guangfu, was beat up by unidentified men who stopped him while he was riding his electric bike.
Kegui is married to Liu Fang. The couple have a young son, Chen Fubin. The April 2013 Freedom Now letter says in part:
"Chen Kegui is currently suffering from appendicitis, and although prison authorities may have administered intravenous antibiotics, he is in severe pain, has been denied access to a doctor, and has not been taken to a hospital despite reports that his appendix has begun to rupture.
Chen Kegui, 33, was detained by Chinese authorities shortly after his uncle, a prominent human rights advocate, escaped from illegal house arrest and sought refuge at the United States Embassy in Beijing. On April 27, 2012, police, local party officials, and government thugs stormed the family's home and arrested Chen Kegui's father, Chen Guangfu, beating and interrogating him about Chen Guangcheng's whereabouts. Authorities returned to the home and savagely beat Chen Kegui and his mother, Ren Zongju. When Chen Kegui attempted to defend himself from the intruders, a local party official was injured. After disappearing Chen Kegui for a number of days, the government formally arrested him in early May and ultimately sentenced him to three years and three months in prison on November 30, 2012, after a trial that failed to meet international standards for due process."
Families are being torn apart by China's one-child policy. Kegui and his son, Chen Fubin, are just one family that has been separated. Families are also being torn apart due to our American immigration policies.
Samuel Rodriguez, president of The National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, America’s largest Hispanic Christian Organization with more than 40,000 member churches, writes in a "Trust Act Seeks to End Trivial Immigrant Arrests" editorial for the San Diego Union-Tribune, "Finally, as a pastor in the Hispanic community, I am constantly confronted with families that have been torn apart when a parent is deported, often times after minor contact with police. The long-term consequences for the children are devastating."
Let's stop China's one-child policy, anti-family immigration policies and abortion/involuntary sterilization everywhere.
A Yoruba Nigerian love poem called "The fulfilment of this earth's law is love" says:
"The fulfilment of this earth's law is love,
So, brothers and sisters, let us practice love!
With love two can live happily in the smallest of rooms
Without love even in a palace two cannot live in peace.
O, the fulfilment of this earth's law is love,
So, brothers and sisters, let us practice love!
The fulfilment of this earth's law is love,
So, brothers and sisters, let us practise love!
Love is above the law, and it is the law completely,
Without love there'll be no help of one another.
O, the fulfilment of this earth's law is love,
So, brothers and sisters, let us practise love!
The fulfilment of this earth's law is love,
So, brothers and sisters, let us practice love!
Love comes before marriage of a man and a woman,
Without love cause for separation is not hard to find.
O, the fulfilment of this earth's law is love,
So, brothers and sisters, let us practise love!
The fulfilment of this earth's law is love,
So, brothers and sisters, let us practise love!
With love two may enter the closest friendship,
Without love even twins may be irreconcilable.
O, the fulfilment of this earth's law is love,
So, brothers and sisters, let us practise love!"

Fatherhood and New Chen Guangcheng Family Persecution
In the movie Selena, Selena's father, Abraham Quintanilla (portrayed by Edward James Olmos,) loves his daughter, family and life with enthusiasm, commitment and creativity.
Abraham is protective of Selena (portrayed by Jennifer Lopez) while also pushing her to be her best. What movies have you seen with inspiring, intimate father/daughter relationships? Write to:

When Selena and Chris Perez fall in love, Abraham can't handle it, and in a fit of hot anger forbids the young lovers to see each other. Chris (portrayed by Jon Seda) is the guitarist for the band Selena and the Dinos. Selena and Chris meet secretly for a while. Then Selena proposes marriage. Chris accepts. They elope.
Chris waits in their Porsche get-away-car while Selena goes into her parents home first to tell Abraham about her and Chris' marriage. Abraham is not the erupting volcano they fear. He has cooled off and has become capable of acknowledging that Chris and Selena really love each other, that they are ready to be married and that he compelled them to elope. The happy couple don't need the Porsche get-away car.
But He Peirong and Chen Guangcheng needed their get-away car. He Peirong is a key member of a group of human rights activists who organize support for Guangcheng in China. Guangcheng, who became blind as a result of a childhood illness and now wears dark sunglasses, is a self-taught lawyer who in 2005 filed a class-action lawsuit against a local government for forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China’s one-child policy.
After Peirong drove Guangcheng to the US embassy, the US and China worked out a deal and Guangcheng escaped to the United States. He Peirong didn't loose Guangcheng like Harriet Tubman didn't loose runaway slaves while helping them to escape slavery in American slave states to freedom in American non-slaves states and in Canada.
On April 9, 2013, Chen Guangcheng testified before a subcommittee of the U.S. House Committee On Foreign Affairs about his family's and other people's persecution in China and other ongoing human rights abuses in China. Guangcheng gave Congress a list of Chinese officials involved in forced abortions and forced sterilizations.
God the Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) says in Matthew 7:12 Complete Jewish Bible, "“Always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that sums up the teaching of the Torah and the Prophets." A Twi African proverb says, "Love is the greatest of all virtues."
Abraham in the movie Selena came to love Chris as his son-in-law. Currently, Chinese authorities are not loving the Chen family and those who dare to defy China's one-child policy which includes forced abortions and forced sterilizations.
“They can’t do anything about Guangcheng, so they are taking revenge on me,” says Chen Guangfu, a brother of Chen Guangcheng, about an attack this morning where two unidentified men stopped him from riding his electric bicycle and beat him ("Exiled activist Chen Guangcheng's brother beaten in latest attack against family" South China Morning Post May 9, 2013, article by Verna Yu.)
The Chen family has been persecuted for a number of years.
Guangfu's son and Guangcheng's nephew, Chen Kegui, is currently in jail and is being denied medical treatment for appendicitis. Freedom Now, a human rights group, has written an April 29, 2013, letter to the United Nation's Special Rapporteur on Torture seeking to get Kegui to a hospital and out of jail.
“They can do nothing to control what I say to the international community, so they are threatening and oppressing (my relatives) in order to shut me up,” Guangcheng told Verna Yu by telephone. He also told her, “I will always speak the truth, I will never hold back.”
Abraham lost his daughter's life through a troubled employee. With timely action, Chen family members can be protected. Pastor Bob Fu, Founder and President of China Aid, spoke with Guangcheng today regarding today's attack on his brother, Chen Guangfu. Fu said in a May 9, 2013, China Aid "Chen Guangcheng's Elder Brother Chen Guangfu was Violently Beaten" article, "To employ mafia style actions in order to silent a fellow citizen's voice represents a new low for China's leaders. It is time for President Obama to immediately intervene with this worsening situation. The US leaders and international community should hold the Chinese top leaders accountable for their miserable failure to deliver its own solemn public international commitment that was made a year ago to both Mr. Chen and Mr. Obama, which was to protect the safety and civil rights of Mr. Chen's family members and investigate years' of abuses and torture to Mr. Chen, his wife and other family members."

Guangcheng, who became blind as a result of a childhood illness and now wears dark sunglasses, is a self-taught lawyer who in 2005 filed a class-action lawsuit against a local government for forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China’s one-child policy.

Stirring Up Timely Trouble
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela's tribal name "Rolihlahla" means "to stir up trouble." He lived up to his name by becoming South Africa's first democratically elected president and ushering out apartheid, which treated blacks, Asians and other people of color as lesser than European-heritage people.
Chen Guangcheng is not from South Africa, but he has stirred up trouble in his native China. Guangcheng became internationally known for filing a 2005 law suit against a local government for forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China’s one-child policy. Later he endured physical and psychological abuse in jail and in house arrest. Eventually he escaped to the United States through negotiations between the US State Department and Chinese authorities.
Chinese authorities are still upset about the trouble Guangcheng has continued to stir up. On April 9, 2013, Guangcheng testified before a subcommittee of the U.S. House Committee On Foreign Affairs about his family's and other people's persecution in China and other ongoing human rights abuses in China. Guangcheng gave Congress a list of Chinese officials involved in forced abortions and forced sterilizations. Some testimony is still being translated from Chinese to English.
Pastor Bob Fu, founder and president of China Aid, also testified at the subcommittee hearing. He cited some cases of forced abortion and forced sterilization in China. Fu said:
"On March 13, a woman Henan province (Daxuzhaitown, Taikang county) who had had a forced abortion was found hanged at the local family planning office with suspicious injuries all over her body. On March 19, a mother of two in Hubei province (Tongshan county) named Shen Hongxia was forced by local family planning officials to have a tubal ligation against doctors orders that led to her death. On March 22, a woman in her seventh month of pregnancy in Anhui province (Chuzhou, Fengyang county) was kidnapped by family planning cadres and taken to a hospital where a lethal injection was given that killed her seven-month-old unborn baby and caused her to deliver a dead fetus. China Aid has interviewed the husband of this woman and has offered to help them."
In October 2012 Actor and Activist Christian Bale presented Chen Guangcheng with an award at the annual gala of Human Rights First.
China does not operate by rule of law. Chinese authorities do what they like irregardless of laws. Guangcheng's nephew, Chen Kegui, has been in jail after using knives to fend off local officials who burst into Kegui's home after Guangcheng's escape. Kegui is married to Liu Fang. The couple have a young son, Chen Fubin. An April 29, 2013, letter by Freedom Now to the United Nation's Special Rapporteur on Torture says in part:
Luke 1:37 Complete Jewish Bible says, "For with God, nothing is impossible.” God impregnated a virgin without using male sperm. Since God did this, surely He can answer prayers for Chen Kegui, the Chen family and for the end to China's one-child policy which includes forced abortions and forced sterilizations and for an end to abortion everywhere.
According to Financial Times, the Chinese Health Ministry reported that since 1971, 196 million sterilizations and 336 abortions have been performed in China. Many of these are involuntary. In the January 2011 document, “Abortion Statistics: United States Data and Trends,” National Right to Life Committee Education Director Dr. Randall K. O’Bannon estimates that there have been 54,559,615 abortions since the January 22, 1973, Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion based on data from both the Centers for Disease Control and the Guttmacher Institute, a former Planned Parenthood research arm. The analysis also found that the best estimate for the current number of annual abortions in the United States — involving both the surgical abortion procedure as well as the abortion drug RU 486 — is 1.2 million. Adding another year of 1.2 million abortions to the 2011 total National Right to Life estimated based on Guttmacher and CDC figures, there have been 55,772.015 abortions in America since Roe v. Wade. Another way to look at the statistics is to say that in America every 30 seconds a baby loses his or her life through abortion.
Former Mexican President Benito Juarez said, "The respect for the rights of others is peace."
The rights of the unborn and the born of all ages are not being respected in China or America. Don't agree to be silent and slack about fighting to end abortion, involuntary sterilization and other human rights abuses. A Japanese proverb says, "Do quickly what is good." The US negotiated a deal with China to get Chen Guangcheng out of China. The US can negotiate with China to get Chen Kegui to a hospital to treat his appendicitis and to free him from jail. Write to:

Elderly And Able To Work For Good
"Yet despite the overall aging of the work force, many organizations are heading in the opposite direction. One executive at a major investment bank remarked with concern that the average age of his firm was 32. This phenomenon is not unique to corporations. Many medical institutions and universities have also shifted to younger workforces. But according to research by Benjamin Jones of Northwestern University, a 55-year-old and even a 65-year-old have significantly more innovation potential than a 25-year-old.
If an organization wants innovation to flourish, the conversation needs to change from severance packages to retention bonuses. Instead of managing the average age downward, companies should be managing it upward," writes Tom Agan for The New York Times article "Why Innovators Get Better With Age."
The Bible does not endorse retiring at age 62 or any other age. Some of the greatest Biblical leaders were elderly people like Moses, Abraham and Joshua. Abolitionist, Women's Rights Activist and Christian Sojourner Truth was giving speeches in her 80s.
Discrimination against the elderly is not the Bible way. The Bible way is periodic rest, not permanent removal from the workforce.
God teaches us to work well and rest well. The Gospel books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are filled with stories of Jesus Christ challenging His Jewish people to practice the Sabbath in a way that provides maximum help for people. Mark 2:27 Contemporary English Version Bible says, "Jesus finished by saying, “People were not made for the good of the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made for the good of people."
Leviticus 25:3-7 New Living Translation says, "For six years you may plant your fields and prune your vineyards and harvest your crops, but during the seventh year the land must have a Sabbath year of complete rest. It is the Lord’s Sabbath. Do not plant your fields or prune your vineyards during that year. And don’t store away the crops that grow on their own or gather the grapes from your unpruned vines. The land must have a year of complete rest. But you may eat whatever the land produces on its own during its Sabbath. This applies to you, your male and female servants, your hired workers, and the temporary residents who live with you. Your livestock and the wild animals in your land will also be allowed to eat what the land produces."

Jiroemon Kimura celebrated his 116th birthday on April 19, 2013, in Japan making him the world's oldest living man according to the Guinness World Records. Guinness World Records says a Japanese woman, Misao Okawa, at 115 is the world's oldest living woman. Jeanne Louise Calment was 122 when she died in 1997 in France; she holds the record for the world's longest living person in modern times. Calment lived two years longer than Moses, but not as long as Abraham who died at the ripe old age of 175.

Enjoy Yourself
Entertainment is essential to our well being. Jesus Christ participated in parties like the wedding at Cana (John 2.)
Having a good time helps to make sure we keep a merry heart. Do you shop, play sports or do something else for recreation? Proverbs 17:22 Amplified Bible says, "A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones."
An African proverb says, "Work is good, provided you do not forget to live."
Chen Guangcheng, who became blind as a result of a childhood illness and now wears dark sunglasses, is a self-taught lawyer from China who helped the disabled win public benefits and aided farmers fighting illegal land seizures. Later he endured jail and house arrest. Eventually he escaped to the United States and testified before Congress on April 9, 2013, regarding human rights abuses in China.
Even a human rights activist has fun. Chen Guangcheng went to Disneyland with Actor and Activist Christian Bale in January 2013.
Some people are not in a position to enjoy recreation. Pastor and U.S. Citizen Saeed Abedini is being physically and psychologically abused in an Iranian prison for his Christian faith which Iran considers a threat to their national security. Being able to have fun is something to thank God for giving us in America.
Fun times can be had in church buildings. Some churches have comedy shows, music festivals, dinners, poetry nights and other forms of recreation. Pastor Abedini was setting up Christian house churches and an orphanage in Iran before he was placed under house arrest. A campaign to free him by writing letters and signing a petition is being coordinated at http://www.savesaeed.org.
Sometimes physical and/or mental sickness steals our ability to participate in recreation. When we don't have ideal life circumstances, creyentes (believers) who are reinas y reyes (queens and kings) don't give up on life. Please call Governor Mary Fallin at (405-521-2342) to ask her to sign into law HB 1403 The Nondiscrimination in Treatment Act of Oklahoma which protects the elderly, seriously ill and disabled by preventing medical providers from denying individuals life-saving treatment based on their quality of life.

Embrace Godly Emotions
Having emotions and expressing them are part of the life of creyentes (believers) who are reinas y reyes (queens and kings.) God made each one of us with unique finger prints, eye prints and scents. We will express our emotions in diverse ways. Expressing godly emotions is not a sign of being unbalanced, but is something to engage in with enthusiasm.
King David cried in public to petition God. King David says in Psalm 69:9-12 New Living Translation Bible, "Passion for your house has consumed me, and the insults of those who insult you have fallen on me. When I weep and fast, they scoff at me. When I dress in burlap to show sorrow, they make fun of me. I am the favorite topic of town gossip, and all the drunks sing about me."
God doesn't make fun of or belittle our godly emotions. God has emotions. He created our emotions and encourages emotional expression inspired by Him. A woman kissed and wept over Jesus Christ in Luke 7:38-47 New Living Translation Bible, and Jesus Christ commended her: "Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them. When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know what kind of woman is touching him. She’s a sinner!” Then Jesus answered his thoughts. “Simon,” he said to the Pharisee, “I have something to say to you.” “Go ahead, Teacher,” Simon replied. Then Jesus told him this story: “A man loaned money to two people—500 pieces of silver to one and 50 pieces to the other. But neither of them could repay him, so he kindly forgave them both, canceling their debts. Who do you suppose loved him more after that?” Simon answered, “I suppose the one for whom he canceled the larger debt.” “That’s right,” Jesus said. Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Look at this woman kneeling here. When I entered your home, you didn’t offer me water to wash the dust from my feet, but she has washed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You didn’t greet me with a kiss, but from the time I first came in, she has not stopped kissing my feet. You neglected the courtesy of olive oil to anoint my head, but she has anointed my feet with rare perfume. “I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.”"
God likes passionate people. Not only does He accept tears but also laughter and many other emotional expressions. God wants us to do likewise. Romans 12:15 Complete Jewish Bible says, "Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep." Are you around people who can accept laughter, tears and other expressions?
Some people may weep when praying to free Pastor and U.S. Citizen Saeed Abedini, who is being tortured in an Iranian prison for his Christian faith. They may also be inspired to laugh at the devil regarding the fact that more than 575,000 people worldwide from over 180 countries have signed a petition lending support to Pastor Abedini who in January 2013 was sentenced by Iranian authorities to an eight-year prison sentence for "threatening the national security of Iran;" Pastor Abedini had been involved in setting up house churches in Iran and also an orphanage. A campaign to write letters to him for his May 7th birthday and to sign the petition is being coordinated at http://www.savesaeed.org.
The devil rejoices to harm people. Reinas y reyes rejoice to help them.

Chen Guangcheng, who became blind as a result of a childhood illness and now wears dark sunglasses, is a self-taught lawyer from China who helped the disabled win public benefits and aided farmers fighting illegal land seizures. He became internationally known for filing a 2005 law suit against a local government for forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China’s one-child policy.
Tejas is the name the Spanish gave to the area that became the US state of Texas. The Spanish chose the name based on a Native American word for "friend."
Guangcheng had friends help him to escape from house arrest in April 2012. He Peirong is a key member of a group of activists who organize support for Guangcheng in China. He Peirong drove Guangcheng to the US embassy in Beijing. Were they traveling in a Corolla, the best-selling car of all time produced by the Japanese company Toyota?
A deal was worked out between China and the United States; now Guangcheng lives in New York with his wife, Yuan Weijing, and their two children.
On April 9, 2013, he testified before a subcommittee of the U.S. House Committee On Foreign Affairs about his family's and other people's persecution in China and other ongoing human rights abuses in China. Guangcheng gave Congress a list of 130,000 Chinese officials involved in forced abortions and forced sterilizations.
Since China's one-child policy was implemented in the 1970s more than 336 million babies have been killed by abortion; in America since Roe v. Wade legalized abortion 55 million babies have been killed.
Guangcheng's nephew, Chen Kegui, has been in jail after using knives to fend off local officials who burst into Kegui's home after Guangcheng's escape. Kegui is married to Liu Fang. The couple have a young son, Chen Fubin.
"He (Chen Kegui) must be heavily injured, I'm worried about his physical state," Liu Fang said to Reuters reporter Sui-Lee Wee for her May 24, 2012, article "Brother of blind China activist flees village." Liu Fang also said about her husband and Guangcheng's nephew, "Inside, he might be subject to beatings."
Torture and other reprisals by Chinese authorities are happening to family and friends of Guangcheng since his escape from China to the US one year ago.
On April 24, 2013, Chen Kegui's mother, Ren Zongju, and Chen Kegui's uncle, Chen Guangjun, were told by Chinese authorities to answer questions about whether they “harbored a criminal” by helping Chen Kegui before his capture. Chen Guangjun is a bother of Chen Guangcheng
Chen Guangfu, another brother of Chen Guangcheng, told Chris Buckley of The New York Times for his April 24, 2013, article, "Chinese Officials Order Questioning of Exiled Activist’s Relatives," “I think that this is really about Guangcheng;” “I’ve heard that he spoke at the U.S. Congress and leveled accusations against officials. In my view, that infuriated them.”
Truth infuriates workers of iniquity. There is such a thing as righteous anger; stir it up to move out evil.

What Would You Do For Love?
A Kaonde African proverb says, "Husband and wife must be loyal to each other." Wife, Ellen Craft, and husband, William Craft, were reliable to make their relationship work with the benefits of freedom. Ellen was also so fair-skinned that she could pass for white even though she was of mixed European and African ancestry. William was of African ancestry. They were both slaves. Ellen cut her hair and posed as a white man traveling with her black slave. Traveling in this manner the married couple escaped slavery in Georgia and went to freedom in England.
True love inspires great actions. Romans 5:8 Amplified Bible says, "But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us." 1 John 4:11 Complete Jewish Bible says, "Beloved friends, if this is how God loved us, we likewise ought to love one another."
"... In the Bible we are all considered brothers and sisters despite our race, color or nationality," wrote Pastor Saeed Abedini in a letter to his wife, Naghmeh Abedini. Pastor Abedini was setting up an orphanage and Christian house churches in Iran when Iranian authorities put him under house arrest in July 2012 separating him from his wife and their two children. In September 2012 they arrested him. In January 2013 Iranian authorities sentenced him to an eight-year prison sentence for threatening Iran's national security. The US State Department, US Secretary of State John Kerry and the European Union have all called for Pastor Saeed Abedini's release, and over 573,000 people worldwide from over 180 countries have signed a petition lending him support. A campaign to write letters to him for his May 7th birthday and to sign the petition is being coordinated at http://www.savesaeed.org.
Everyone can thank God for having a birthday to celebrate. God is author of life, but not of discrimination. Acts 10:34 Amplified Bible says, "And Peter opened his mouth and said: Most certainly and thoroughly I now perceive and understand that God shows no partiality and is no respecter of persons." Please call Governor Mary Fallin at (405-521-2342) to ask her to sign into law HB 1403 The Nondiscrimination in Treatment Act of Oklahoma which protects the elderly, seriously ill and disabled by preventing medical providers from denying individuals life-saving treatment based on their quality of life.
Discrimination is deadly for the young too. Since China's one-child policy was implemented in the 1970s more than 336 million babies have been killed by abortion;that's more Chinese baby boys and baby girls have lost their lives to abortion than the combined total population of the United States of America and Australia; in America since Roe v. Wade legalized abortion 55 million babies have been killed.
When righteousness reigns, God is pleased. It's easier to receive a right relationship with God and people in free and open societies. China is not such a society.
One person trying to open up China and to eliminate forced abortions and forced sterilizations is Chen Guangcheng. Guangcheng is the husband of Yuan Weijing and the father of a girl and a boy. Wherever evil exists, so do fear tactics. 2 Timothy 1:7 Amplified Bible says, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control."
What are some ways love is winning over fear?

Hasty and Happy Don't Often Go Together
An African proverb from Kenya and Ethiopia says, "Hasty marriages bring hasty divorces."
Sometimes we can fall in love and marry a fantasy. How many people thoroughly communicate their beliefs about spirituality, sex, money and other areas of life and seek to learn these from their potential spouse and his/her family before marriage?
Many people in America have participated in sex outside of marriage. Not everyone has the same beliefs about it. Some spouses are able to receive forgiveness from God for participating in sex outside of marriage, but they don't extend that forgiveness to their spouse and distrust their spouse for some or all of their marriage. Some spouses also misinterpret uninhibited sex as a sign of sexual infidelity. Many other marital, sexual misinterpretations and mistreatment goes on.
What precisely are your expectations of marriage?
Jesus Christ says in Matthew 7:12 Complete Jewish Bible, "“Always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that sums up the teaching of the Torah and the Prophets."
Don't you want someone to understand and appreciate the real you? Wouldn't spouses, family and friends want likewise? Communication and compassion are critical.
While we can share a relationship with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Ghost with whosoever, whosoever cannot be in our circle of intimacy.
Proverbs 18:22 Amplified Bible says, "He who finds a [true] wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord." A true wife wants a true husband. A good marriage is the fellowship of two spiritually mature Christians who are continuously cooperating with God to change into His likeness.
Many people receive Christ, but refuse to grow in their relationship with Christ, themselves and other people. The Bible gives us the blueprint for living after having received a relationship with God the Father, God the Son and Messiah Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit. Joshua 1:8 Amplified Bible says, "This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success." Some people want to succeed in their relationships and other areas of life, but they are not willing to do what it takes to succeed. Love includes discipline. Brian Tracy writes in his book No Excuses! The Power of Self-Discipline 21 Ways to Achieve Lasting Happiness and Success, "One of the most important requirements for success, once you have decided what it is that you want, is the quality of willingness. Successful people are willing to pay the price, whatever it is and for as long as it takes, until they achieve the results they desire. Everyone wants to be successful . . . . But most people are not willing to pay the price. Occasionally, they may be wiling to pay part of the price, but they are not willing to pay the whole price. They always hold back. They always have some excuse or rationalization for not disciplining themselves to do everything that they need to do to achieve their goals."
Many of the qualities we seek in a spouse are desirable for friends too. He Peirong is not married to Chen Guangcheng; they are friends and human rights activists. He Peirong was not one of Chen Guangcheng's first followers, but later she became a key member of a group of activists who organize support for Guangcheng in China.
Standing up for human rights in China is a threat to one's own life and the lives of one's family and friends because China is not a free and open society. Making these decisions should not be done lightly neither should the decision to marry someone be made lightly.

"Abre tu boca por el mudo en el juicio de todos los desvalidos," dice Proverbios 31:8 Biblia Bilingue Version Reina-Valera 1960. Proverbs 31:8 Bilingual Bible New King James Version says, "Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die."
Pastor and U.S. Citizen Saeed Abedini was setting up an orphanage and Christian house churches in Iran when Iranian authorities put him under house arrest in July 2012 separating him from his wife, Naghmeh Abedini, and their two children. In September 2012 they arrested him. In January 2013 Iranian authorities sentenced him to an eight-year prison sentence for threatening Iran's national security. The US State Department, US Secretary of State John Kerry and the European Union have all called for Pastor Saeed Abedini's release, and over 572,000 people worldwide from over 180 countries have signed a petition lending him support. A campaign to write letters to him for his May 7th birthday and to sign the petition is being coordinated at http://www.savesaeed.org. In a February 18, 2013, letter to his wife, Pastor Abedini wrote about physical and psychological abuse inflicted on him to compel him to deny his faith in Jesus Christ. He also wrote of plans to persevere in his relationship with God and to share it with others: "There are empty containers who are thirsty for a taste of the Living Water and we can quench their thirst by giving them Jesus Christ."
Sometimes our relationships are difficult because we made wrong choices to enter certain relationships and/or wrong choices within the relationship. Other times our relationships are difficult because we are growing spiritually and are being attacked by the kingdom of darkness. No matter the reason for relationship difficulties, a beautiful hymn to sing that Abolitionist and Women's Rights Activist Sojourner Truth sang is:
"In my trials -- Lord walk with me.
In my trials -- Lord walk with me.
When my heart is almost breaking
Lord walk with me . . . "

Chen Guangcheng is the husband of Yuan Weijing and the father of a girl and a boy. He became internationally known for filing a 2005 law suit against a local government for forced abortions and forced sterilizations practiced as part of China’s one-child policy.
Guangcheng's lawsuit was rejected, and he was placed under house arrest in Shandong, China, with guards surrounding his house, his cell phone service cut off, access to the Internet blocked and bright lights shinning on his house at night.
Tejas is the name the Spanish gave to the area that became the US state of Texas. The Spanish chose the name based on a Native American word for "friend."
Guangcheng, who became blind as a result of a childhood illness and now wears dark sunglasses, had friends help him to escape from house arrest in April 2012. He Peirong drove Guangcheng to the US embassy in Beijing. Were they traveling in a Corolla, the best-selling car of all time produced by the Japanese company Toyota?
A deal was worked out between China and the United States; now Guangcheng, a self-taught lawyer who also helped the disabled win public benefits and aided farmers fighting illegal land seizures, lives in New York with his wife, Yuan Weijing, and their two children.
Lord walk with me . . . "
