Church and Sex

Sometimes Sunday Sabbaths can be exciting and exhausting especially on those days when going to more than one service. Satan wants married people to lose their sexual relationship. God wants married people to enjoy sex even in the midst of an energetic lifestyle. Jesus Christ says in John 10:10 Amplified Bible, "The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)."

Here's two simple, sensational sexual intercourse ideas for spouses:
1) The wife lies on her back at a right angle to her husband draping her legs over his waist while her husband lies on his side thrusting or grinding.
2) The wife lies face down on her stomach with her legs straight and closed. Her husband balances his weight on his arms lying on top of her, keeping his legs straight and enclosing her legs. The wife can take her husband's penis both her in her thighs and vagina.

Sexual love can be found in easy and hard times. The beginning of the modern history of Africans in America includes a black love story. Antoney and Isabella were among 20 trafficked Africans aboard a Dutch man of warr ship that stopped in Jamestown, Virginia, the first permanent English settlement in America. Anthoney and Isabella fell in love, got married and in 1623 or 1624 Isabella gave birth to William, the first black child born in English America.

Sometimes spouses do not want to have sex on Sunday because of a false idea that there should be no connection between church and sex. The suspension bridge was invented in China. Allow God to build a bridge connecting your heart to your spouse's heart and to burn bridges connecting you to false ideas.

¿Desea un matrimonio de pasión y sorpresa? Crown Jesus Christ king of your life this Palm Sunday and every day.

Novel Sex

Trying new things can be good. Solomon's Shulammite wife strove to try new types of lovemaking with Solomon. Together they enjoyed the old ways of mating while embracing the new. Novelty can be exciting, edifying and exquisite.

Our God is the Creator. He created sex and sexuality. We are made in God's image. We are also creators.

Some novelty is destructive; more than one million Americans went to a swingers club in 2011. Instead of swapping sex partners creative marital monogamy involves consistently growing in ways to make a spouse's life better. Figuring out new ways to bring sexual pleasure and other pleasure to a spouse is a ministry, a responsibility and a loving, beautiful joy.

Solomon's wife enjoyed getting naked in nature with Solomon. She says to Solomon in Song of Solomon 7:11-12 New Living Translation Bible, "Come, my love, let us go out to the fields and spend the night among the wildflowers. Let us get up early and go to the vineyards to see if the grapevines have budded, if the blossoms have opened, and if the pomegranates have bloomed. There I will give you my love. There the mandrakes give off their fragrance, and the finest fruits are at our door, new delights as well as old, which I have saved for you, my lover."

God built our beautiful bodies for love. Spouses, have fun customizing the missionary and downward rear entry. Strip off the No es posible attitude and the bad body image. Rear-entry vaginal sex is not immoral. Do you have a funny sex experiment story to share?

Some in our parents generation were taught and communicated to us that oral sex is depraved, but nothing in the Bible prohibits oral sex. Actually, the Bible encourages it. Sometimes we have taboos that God does not possess. Solomon's Shulammite wife says about Solomon in Song of Solomon 2:3 New Living Translation Bible, "Like the finest apple tree in the orchard is my lover among other young men. I sit in his delightful shade and taste his delicious fruit." Of course, oral sex is not just for a wife to give to her husband. A husband and wife can give each other oral sex even at the same time, and have simultaneous orgasms!

Orgasms outside of sexual intercourse can be had in a variety of ways. Some say they can think themselves into orgasms. If you need touch, try creating a love tunnel for your husband's penis with your breasts, hands and/or thighs.

Spouses, learn each other. Some people need more privacy than others for marital lovemaking. Some need less privacy. In the movie Dances With Wolves the wife of the Sioux holy man is on top making delicious while family and friends are sleeping in the same room!

Play games like "Hide and Go Freak," Manos Arriba (Hands Up) or invent your own game.

Men may think more about sex than women generally. Women have the potential to have more orgasms in a lovemaking session than men generally. The National Survey of Sexual Health and Behavior reports that the more sexual positions a woman engages in with a man during a lovemaking session the greater the potential for orgasms. Many women love to shop and possess a wide variety of clothes, shoes, accessories and other items. Like we like variety in our shopping, we like variety in our sexual relationship. A husband going into his wife or a wife mounting her husband at various angles creates different sensations. What is your favorite sexual position? How many of the 500-plus positions have you tried?

Sexual fantasies about our spouse can be used to enhance a couple's sexual life. Talk to God to stop fantasies about people other than our spouse.

Tender and talented marital lovemaking includes more than oral sex or a husband going into his wife or a wife mounting her husband. Solomon and his wife enjoyed each others sex within a good relationship with God, self and each other. Intimacy is:

Intentional,
Nurturing,
Talking,
Integration,
Mating,
Adoration,
Compassion,
Yearning.

'"Women, this might surprise you, but even more than your husband wants to have sex with you for his own sexual relief, the truth is, he wants to please you even more than he wants to be pleasured. It might seem like it's all about him, but what he really wants, emotionally, is to see how much you enjoy the pleasure he can give you. If he fails to do that, for any reason, he'll end up feeling inadequate, lonely, and unloved. Most of us men want to be our wives' heroes," says Dr. Kevin Leman in his book, Sheet Music Uncovering the Secrets of Sexual Intimacy in Marriage.

Bible-living, Christian spouses shouldn't have a bad sex life. Christian Minister and Civil Rights Activist Martin Luther King, Jr., wrote in his "Letter from Birmingham Jail," "There can be no deep disappointment where there is not deep love." God commands us to figure out how to love people. Galatians 5:14 New Living Translation Bible says, "For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”" What are some surprising things you had to learn to love your spouse?

For the most part, believers are suppose to give, receive and feel love like Donna Summer sang in her song, "I Feel Love." If your relationships aren't so good, and you are not feeling love, then sin is present and needs to brought before God to be forgiven and stopped.

While God designed partner sex for married couples only, God designed both spouses and singles to celebrate their sexuality. Inner beauty is holy, and so is outer beauty. Solomon says to his loved one in Song of Solomon 1:10 New Living Translation Bible, "How lovely are your cheeks; your earrings set them afire! How lovely is your neck, enhanced by a string of jewels."

In what ways do you celebrate your sexuality?

Novel Submission

"And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ," writes the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:20-21 New Living Translation Bible. These are verses that are violated in so many ways globally with men and women missing opportunities to help each other.

The New York Times February 27, 2013, article "Desperate Hunt for Day Care in Japan As More Women Work, a Shortage Poses a Threat to Economic Growth," implies that fathers and mothers are not equally participating in the rewards and responsibilities of parenthood, which is a global reality.

The article features the plight of Ayaka Okumura in trying to secure day care for her daughter, Ayane. Ayaka, a manager at an accounting firm, does all the hunting for day care, expresses fret that she did not time her pregnancy to put her name toward the top of day-care waiting lists and even wonders if she should have cut short her legally-guaranteed-one-year-maternity leave to better position herself on the day-care waiting lists, which for Japanese-government-subizied-day-care centers is more than 25,000 long and many private day care centers also have long waiting lists.

No where in the article does it talk about a one-year-legally-guaranteed-paternity leave for Ayane's father and Ayaka's husband, Masanori. A one-size-fits all, unequal, imbalanced approach to childcare puts a strain on marriage and parenting in Japan, America and other places. In America one-year of paid leave is not legally guaranteed. "Vive la difference!" is a French saying meaning, "Long live the difference (between the sexes)." Ayane and others like her are not receiving balanced input from their fathers and mothers denying these children the learning of the difference in the sexes and the enjoyment of a close relationship with both their fathers and mothers.  Relationships require both quality and quantity time.

If two or more instead of one were working on child care, maybe Ayane could enjoy two years or more of being cared for by her parents instead of a day care center, and Ayaka, who says in the article, "I'm filled with so much worry, and completely spent," could rest more releasing inspiration for both her marriage with Masanori and her parenting of Ayane. Well-rested wives are more interested in sex than tired wives.  Wouldn't it be nice for husbands and wives to sit face-to-face, hugging each other while engaging in deep vaginal penetration, kissing and eye contact on a frequent basis without fatigue?

What about a men's and women's movement pushing for one-year or more paid paternity leave? Some social rules need to be challenged by creative, courageous, compassionate people. A Hausa of West Africa riddle asks, "Why is a man like pepper?" Answer: "Until you have tested him, you can't tell how strong he is."

Long-term paid leave is good for singles, married people, everyone! Read my articles, "Paid Leave Please" and "Paid Leave is Good for Us."

Also two years or more of paid leave (one year or more for dad and one year or more for mom) is time to work on the heads and hearts of other family members to help with child care. Maybe Ayane and others like her would never have to go to day care before going to school?

The New York Times article says, "Almost 70 percent of Japan's social welfare spending is directed at people 65 or older, while less than 4 percent supports children and families, according to a government-affiliated research group." Elderly family can use some of their free time to help raise younger family. This is an investment that can pay dividends for eternity. International Christian ministers Dennis and Barbara Rainey say, "God designed the family to be a spiritual garden that grows flowers for today and seeds for tomorrow."

Besides day care and paid maternity leave, what are some novel ways to support marriages and raise children?

Touch Time

Genesis 1:23-24 New Living Translation Bible says, "“At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’” This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one."

Some limit lovemaking to sexual intercourse, but it's supposed to be so much more than that. Sexual relations include multiple skin-on-skin contacts. Touch is good, very good. Touch increases brain activity and heightens alertness. God designed our bodies with sensitive nerve endings that release feel good chemicals like endorphins and oxycotin.

A husband can get on top of his wife and have sexual intercourse with her while simultaneously kissing her feet. Prayer and practice are helpful in perfecting this sex position.

A February 15, 2013, The Times of India "Thai couple smooch to new Guinness World Record" article says, "Hospital security guard Ekkachai Tiranarat, 44, and 33-year-old housewife Laksana locked lips for 58 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds, smashing last year's Guinness World Record by more than eight hours."

We probably don't need to kiss for more than two days to put positive chemistry into our relationships.

Kissing is a type of lovemaking that is not limited to marriage. Kissing is for family, friends, associates and others. The Apostle Paul says in Romans 16:16 Amplified Bible, "Greet one another with a holy (consecrated) kiss. All the churches of Christ (the Messiah) wish to be remembered to you." He also says in 1 Corinthians 16:20 Amplified Bible, "All the brethren wish to be remembered to you and wish you well. Greet one another with a holy kiss."

Touch is a vital ingredient to good health spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically. World-Class Actor Denzel Washington, who has been married to Pauletta Washington more than 30 years, says, "Acting is just a way of making a living, the family is life."

We need copious amounts of touch. Implementing a separate Federal holiday for former President Abraham Lincoln instead of one American Presidents' Day would give us more time to touch. Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, encouraging border states to outlaw slavery, helped push through Congress the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which finally freed all the slaves nationwide in December 1865, led the United States through the American Civil War preserving the Union and battled periods of depression. Do we have a Federal, American holiday recognizing the accomplishments of people with mental illness?

Sexual Silence No More

"A lie cannot live," said Christian Minister and Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr. Many women actually enjoy sex, but not sex stripped down to physicality without spiritually and mentality. Sexuality is a relationship. Even masturbation is not isolation; God is present and participating. Dialogue is abrir la puerta (opening the door) to the best relationships. Proverbs 31:26 Amplified Bible says, "She opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness [giving counsel and instruction]."

Relationships don't contain identical people, and God made us different on purpose. Compare the mindsets of Jesus Christ and the 12 apostles.

Be who you are, and let Jesus Christ keep on making you better. I'm not called to tone it down, but rather to take it up to a heavenly level. What are your thoughts on a Biblical, global, sexual revolution? God created sex and sexuality. What God creates is good, very good.

God designed sex for oneness with Himself, a husband and a wife. Out of this union God sometimes wills for children to be conceived. What God wills, He means to live and not be killed by abortion. While more than one million babies lose their life to abortion in America annually, some survive abortion. Gospel singer Fred Hammond is an abortion survivor. Read my article, "Thoughts About Abortion," for more on his story.

God designed sexuality for singles too, but not in the context of partner sex. What are your thoughts on single sexuality?

Hammond sings about Jesus Christ protecting him and his family in his song, "Jesus Be A Fence Around Me." All of us need God's protection. Satan hates when the Christian Church talks openly, accurately and lovingly about sex and sexuality. Pray for the truth bearers. Satan wants America and the globe to preach and practice promiscuity and portray Biblical sex and sexuality as boring and bondage.

But God built us with an appreciation for pleasure. God is for pleasure. David says about God in Psalm 16:11 Amplified Bible, "You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore."

What are some passionate, provocative and pure ways to celebrate Biblical sex and sexuality?

Some believe the truth about sex and sexuality has to be covered up and certainly not discussed by certain people like singles and/or women. Some also believe that sexuality talk should be limited to the night instead of at any time. Some also believe that sexuality conversation is only for married people. But God makes the Bible available to whosoever will read it!

Climbing a tree to seek for fish is a Chinese proverb that means attempting to do the impossible. China is the world's most populous nation with more than 1.3 billion people. What are some Chinese sayings about good sex and sexuality? What are some other good sayings about sex and sexuality?

What are your favorite books or other media about sex and sexuality? Henry David Thoreau says, "A truly good book teaches me better than to read it. I must soon lay it down, and commence living on its hint. What I began by reading, I must finish by acting."

Reading multiple translations of the Bible can help guard against the sterility of stiffness. Some have a tendency to get stuck in certain wrong mindsets. By looking at Scriptures in multiple ways, God will reveal new insights. What translations of the Bible do you study regularly?

The Apostle Paul was a single man who wrote in 1 Corinthians 7:3 New Living Translation, "The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs." How delicious to feast on marital sex for seven or more days. After a fast, does the ecstasy increase? A French saying about sex is, L'Appétit vient en mangeant. (The more you get the more you want.)

Some say that they get tired of marital sex. This doesn't sound true to me in the long-term. I enjoy both cooking and eating out at restaurants. There are times when I feel I can't get enough. Is any Christian feasting on marital sex multiple times daily?

Did your children accidentally or on purpose walk into where you were making love? How did you handle that? Do you think your response was Biblical?

Training our children can be progressive learning for our children and for us. A Japanese proverb says, “Fall down seven times, get up eight times.”

Happier marriages and happier singles would do a wonder for the reduction of HIV, abortion, divorce, promiscuity, infidelity and other evils globally.

Some say we should not discuss sexual positions publicly because they are not in the Bible. Read Song of Solomon and consider John 20:30-31 Contemporary English Version Bible which says, "Jesus worked many other miracles for his disciples, and not all of them are written in this book. But these are written so that you will put your faith in Jesus as the Messiah and the Son of God. If you have faith in him, you will have true life."

It is curious that what may be the most practiced sexual position, the missionary or man-on-top, is named after spiritual/religious people. What is the history on the missionary sexual position?

All Night Long

Thinking of pulling an all nighter or two or more to pass those tests, prepare a presentation for work or church or indulge in marital lovemaking. Think again.

After 18 hours of wakefulness our reaction time begins to slow, our memory decreases, our bodies and minds slow down to preserve energy, and we make bad food choices. We start to experience bouts of microsleep--moments when we zone out for anywhere from two to 20 seconds. Studies show if we keep trying to stay awake our reaction time will eventually be about the same as someone who is legally drunk.

If you have a relationship with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Ghost, the three that are one (1 X 1 X 1 = 1 or like water which can be liquid, ice or steam), God knows that you need to pass those tests, perform superbly for work or church, sexually satisfy our spouse. God's got His own covered; we will succeed and still be able to sleep properly allowing His life to flow through us accomplishing whatever needs to be done. Psalm 127:2 Amplified Bible says, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to take rest late, to eat the bread of [anxious] toil--for He gives [blessings] to His beloved in sleep."

So relax and learn to rest, sleeping nightly between six-to-eight hours as research says the body needs this range of nightly rest for good health and beauty. God's people, His Bride, won't miss a thing. God's got everything under control; He's perfectly willing and able to manage our lives superbly. God never sleeps, so we can. Then rise ready to give an outstanding presentation for work or church or engage in marital lovemaking. Nothing is wrong with marital sex at night or in the afternoon, but bright and early has special benefits. Energy and ecstasy go together. A well rested spouse is ready for real good rock n roll.

I'm still waiting to get comments on a Biblical view of anal sex. I have not found anything specifically prohibiting a husband and wife from having anal sex, and I know that poop can be a sign of life and has its purposes. Archaeologists working at Paisley Caves in Oregon in 2002 found human poop that they determined to be 14,300 years old--the oldest traces of human life ever found in North America. Also human bowel movements can be used for fertilizer.

Anal play is fine. My concern about anal intercourse is that it may not be safe or sanitary. Yet some say that a wife can mount her husband and while his penis is in her vagina he can also place his hand or a sexual toy in her anus, and both spouses will answer the question, "Was it good for you?" by saying, Estoy bien (I am good) and/or Je vois la lumière. (I see the light.) Please leave an on-line comment with your thoughts about anal sex from a Biblical perspective.

God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Ghost designed sex. What God creates is good, very good, when practiced according to the author's design. "Baby, baby . . . come on wake up," she says to Tyrese Gibson as an introduction to the song, "I Gotta Chick," on Tyrese's album, Open Invitation. R&B singer and rapper Tyrese responds, "I'm sleep." He later asks, "Why are you always horny at 5:00 in the morning?"

While the morning is a great time to have sex, save partner sex for marriage. Praise God that Tyrese is a Christian and also has a positive view of sex; Tyrese doesn't view sex as the necessary nasty, essentially sinful or only talks about sex from a perspective of sin. So many Americans come from homes where parents did not say anything to them about sex, and for those parents who did communicate about sex many communicated verbally and non-verbally that sex is negative. A lot of America's sexual problems come from our history. Carter G. Woodson said, "The conditions of today have been determined by what has taken place in the past."

Sex education comes from our parents, schools, media and other sources. One of the comical things I was suppose to learn is that it is okay for a husband to kiss, lick, suck and touch with his hands his wife's breasts because she uses her breasts to breastfeed, but it is not okay for a husband to kiss, lick, suck and touch with his hands his wife's vagina because her vagina does not have a feeding function like her breasts. This week I saw a commercial advertising a car in which a child asks his parents where babies come from. The dad responds by creating this elaborate story of how babies are on another planet and at nine-month intervals they are sent to earth. The child responds that this is not the story his friend told him. At which point the parents turn on his favorite song to distract him from the subject, and they all start moving to the beat. Please leave an on-line comment with comical and/or tragic sex education.

The February 2013 Ebony magazine article, "7 Secrets of Lasting Love Best Friends and Passionate Lovers After 20, 40, Even 80-Plus Years? Couples With Serious Staying Power Share How They Do It," by Niema Jordan says, "I talk to people, and they are like, 'No, girl; I don't do that,' or 'If he did that, I'd be offended.' But sex is about expression, and if you can't feel free, I don't see how you can enjoy that moment." During the discussion, the couple unabashedly discussed oral sex, a topic that rocked the boat for some audience members. "A lot of Black men feel their women don't meet their needs. There is a big issue with Black women and oral sex. The perception is that White girls give it, and this is a reason Black men sometimes [date outside the race]."

Of course a husband who likes to receive oral sex should be willing to give his wife oral sex or whatever considerate, safe and adventurous sex she desires and requests. Some women believe men can read their minds. Some times they can't. So if you want something, ask and listen clearly, directly and lovingly. Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott write in their book, Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts Seven Questions To Ask Before-And After-You Marry, "Women use conversation primarily to form and solidify connections with other people. Men, on the other hand, tend to use words to navigate their way within the hierarchy by communicating their knowledge and skill and imparting information."

The average American married couple spends four minutes together. This lack of time together contributes to an inability to talk about sex, give sexual satisfaction and receive sexual satisfaction. Please leave an on-line comment about times in your marriage where you didn't spend much time together as a couple and the impact of little togetherness.

Do you think many married people dislike each other?

A black husband who would leave his black wife to have sex with white women may have a view of all women as sexually inferior to men. Monica Wilson was a South African anthropologist, professor of social anthropology at the University of Cape Town who wrote Good Company: a study of Nyakyusa age-villages. Wilson wrote that the Nyakusa people are attached to ukwangela, the 'enjoyment of good company', the 'mutual aid and sympathy which spring from personal friendship' and imply 'urbane manners and a friendliness which expresses itself in eating and drinking together; not only merry conversation, but also discussion between equals, which the Nyakyusa regard as the principal form of education.'

A lot of America's sexual problems also come from practicing sex outside of Biblical boundaries. Pray for Tyrese and others like him to grow spiritually and accept that partner sex is only to be practiced inside of marriage.

For singles, God is your Ishi (Husband). If your faith allows you to masturbate as a single person, be sure to avoid the sins of gluttony, lust, pornography and self-mutilation while masturbating. Please leave an on-line comment with your Biblical perspective on masturbation. Is masturbation just for singles? Do married people masturbate by themselves and/or in front of each other?

When I have a question about sex, sexuality or something else for God, I find that He is open instead of obscure. Please leave an on-line comment about your relationship with God.

Whether we are masturbating or having marital sex, we are in a ménage à trois. A ménage à trois is multiple-people having sex. When we have sex, we are having sex with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Ghost. Christians say God is good and worthy to be praised, so why wouldn't everyone be for good sex?

Lust

If we see someone abusing drugs, and we have an unrenewed mind, we may lust to abuse drugs. If we have a renewed mind, we may have compassion for the person abusing drugs, pray for the person to be released from sin and secured in a relationship with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Ghost. God may even give us a revelation regarding how to intervene in the drug abuser's life to point him or her toward God's exuberant, enjoyable, eternal life and relationship.

Lust is a wrong way of thinking. It is self-absorption. It manifests an unwillingness to care for a person in a particular area. Lust can manifest itself in different ways in multiple people because different people have different thoughts and feelings in response to the same situation.

Lust may be sexual. As Rafael, my son, and I were walking several Sundays ago we saw a young adult wearing a T-shirt saying, "I just want to f-ck you" without the edit. I guess knowing a person's name or any other details is beyond his requirements to engage in sexual acts.

Sexual standards are low in our culture with many choosing to engage in sex after a first date or soon after. God promises that we will reap what we sow. Consequently, many of these relationships are doomed to die. Bradley Gerstman, Esquire, Christpher Pizzo, CPA, and Rich Seldes, MD, say in their book, What Men Want, "We do not recommend inviting a man into your house after the first date, nor do we recommend going to his house. . . . No man wants to think the woman of his dreams is promiscuous. . . . A good-night kiss on the lips, well given and well received, is the perfect end to the first date."

Lust is not just sexual. We can have an intense, inappropriate desire for anything.

God requires us to pay attention to our thought life. Our thoughts are who we are. We will act out many of our thoughts. Proverbs 23:7 Amplified Bible says, "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he . . ."

In America we live in a free society and will be exposed to many sights and other sensory stimuli that are not in agreement with Biblical principles. Many times we will not be able to avoid the stimuli, but believers have been given the mind of Christ and the Holy Spirit fruit of self-control to train our thinking to operate in alignment with God's thinking.

Some thoughts and stimuli are worth keeping. Others need to be pitched out. Romans 12:1-2 New Living Translation Bible says, "And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice--the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."

While one can lust for sex, marital sex is not sinful. God celebrates sex. God encourages married couples to do it over and over again counseling them to copulate in way that is fruitful and multiplies. Also marital sex need not be the missionary every single time. Please read my article, "Novel Sex."

Some in sexless marriages need to simply shake off sin, choose to have sex often, then do it. The doing may create the desiring. L'Appétit vient en mangeant. (The more you get the more you want). Ed and Lisa Young wrote the New York Times best-selling book, Sexperiment, recommending that married couples try an experiment of seven consecutive days of sex to spice up and solidify their marriage relationship.

Please share ways to choose love instead of lust.

Experiment with many of the hundreds of sexual positions and sensual sensations.

A husband and wife can give each other oral sex even at the same time! They may even have simultaneous orgasms by licking, kissing, sucking, touching each others penis and vagina lying side by side.

Orgasms outside of sexual intercourse can be had in a variety of ways. Some say they can think themselves into orgasms. If you need touch, try creating a love tunnel for your husband's penis with your breasts, hands and/or thighs.

The Bible doesn't seem to say anything for or against anal sex. Anal sex seems to fall in the category of using the wise mind of Christ. Anal play seems fine, but anal penetration is it really safe and sanitary? Please leave an on-line comment about anal sex from a Biblical perspective.

With over 500 ways to have vaginal intercourse a marital couple might never get around to the anal-sex issue. Also many will not even come close to trying 500 sexual positions, and that's okay. A great marital sex life is not based on using multiple sexual positions.

Spouses, learn each other. Some people need more privacy than others for marital lovemaking. Some need less privacy. In the movie Dances With Wolves the wife of the Sioux holy man is on top making delicious while family and friends are sleeping in the same room!

Men may think more about sex than women generally, but women have the potential to have more orgasms in a lovemaking session than men generally. Please leave an on-line comment about your favorite sexual positions.

Sexual fantasies about our spouse can be used to enhance a couple's sexual life. Talk to God to stop fantasies about people other than our spouse.

Tender and talented marital lovemaking includes more than oral sex or a husband going into his wife or a wife mounting her husband. Solomon and his wife enjoyed each others full body.

Galatians 5:14 New Living Translation Bible says, "For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”" Please leave a comment if your spouse likes to be loved in a way that is different from the way you like to be loved.

Inner beauty is holy, and so is looking good on the outside. Sex and sexuality are a celebration of life. God is Life. Solomon says to his loved one in Song of Solomon 1:10 New Living Translation Bible, "How lovely are your cheeks; your earrings set them afire! How lovely is your neck, enhanced by a string of jewels."

Fearless Sex

God designed spousal lovemaking to be un-self-conscious, unintimidated, fun and an essential part of forming a strong marital bond. Yet fearful sex is a big problem today among Christians and non-Christians despite the counsel of 2 Timothy 1:7 Amplified Bible: "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control."

In Song of Solomon neither Solomon nor his Shulammite wife express a fear of marital lovemaking. They do not express a fear of dry vaginas, limp penises, premature ejaculation, the possibility of a bad or disappointing sexual experience, body inadequacy, looking bad, comparisons to other sexual experiences or new sexual experiences. Solomon's and his wife's conversation about fruit and gardens is abrir la puerta (opening the door) to the idea that marital lovemaking is making delicious. They have stripped off all of the reproach of Egypt (slavery to sin) an upbringing that taught sex is nasty and shameful.

Martial sex is holy and righteous. Dr. Ken Leman writes in his book Sheet Music Uncovering the Secrets of Sexual Intimacy in Marriage, "If he's imagining what another woman (besides his wife) looks like naked, or how good she'd be in bed, then yes, he's polluting his mind. But if he's imagining how good it would feel to rub massage oil all over his wife later that night while on his way to giving her a body-to-body massage, he's being as pure as an inner-city mission worker serving a bowl of soup to the homeless. Who is the giver of all good gifts? God. Sex is a gift from God and a commandment from God. When God tells us to be "fruitful and multiply," he's not talking about apples and cloning. He's talking about having sexual intercourse and giving birth to babies."

Fear focuses us in on our self and our limits instead of focusing on giving a joyful experience to our lover. Believers are givers. Instead of habitually saying and doing, "No, no, no" to new, adventurous, imaginative marital sex, why not habitually say and do, "Oui, oui, oui?"

Fear focuses in on a negative and irrational mindset. Being naked and close with someone is a very vulnerable position easily squashed by a lover who points out areas of our body where we need to lose weight or describes them in unflattering ways. Confidence is encouraged by a lover who expresses craving instead of cringing to taste, touch, look, smell and hear a favorable response to making delicious. Instead of worrying about the size of your behind for downward rear entry why not think my husband is getting a glorious view of curves as he enters your vaginal portal to paradise? Many men prefer buttocks over breasts, and many women are not concerned with the size of their lover's penis. God made our bodies fearfully and wonderfully. Think of sex sweat as the dew of love and arousal scents as the aroma of love. Neither Solomon nor his wife criticize their own body or their spouse's body. Solomon says to his wife in Song of Solomon 4:7 New Living Translation Bible, "You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way."  The wife says to Solomon in Song of Solomon 1:16 New Living Translation Bible, "You are so handsome, my love, pleasing beyond words! . . ." What words could you use to specifically describe your spouse's spectacular body?

Fast sex can be hot, but sometimes it's fear and a lack of self-control. Slowing down and savoring the experience is often better particularly for wives. No sense of rushing exists in Song of Solomon. These lovers seem to have all the time in the world to please each other.

Spouses, enjoy the whole experience of lovemaking in its many varieties of expression. No matter how much friction an orgasm doesn't always result from marital making delicious, and this can be wonderful too. Sex is more than an orgasm. Solomon says to his wife in Song of Solomon 4:11 New Living Translation Bible, "Your lips are as sweet as nectar, my bride. Honey and milk are under your tongue. . ." His wife says in Song of Solomon 2:3 New Living Translation Bible, "Like the finest apple tree in the orchard is my lover among other young men. I sit in his delightful shade and taste his delicious fruit."

If you are having partner sex and not married, being afraid is logical because you are sharing the most intimate part of you with someone who isn't committed to you. Singles, celebrate your body with God your Ishi (Husband). Gospel group Trinitee sings in their song "My Body," about sex outside of marriage, "I want to please my God . . . My body is the Lord's temple . . . What part of no don't you understand?"

Novel Sex

Trying new things can be good. Solomon's Shulammite wife strove to try new types of lovemaking with Solomon. Together they enjoyed the old ways of mating while embracing the new. Novelty can be exciting, edifying and creative.

There the mandrakes give off their fragrance, and the finest fruits are at our door, new delights as well as old, which I have saved for you, my lover." God built our beautiful bodies for love. Spouses, have fun customizing the missionary and downward rear entry. Strip off the "No es posible" attitude and the bad body image. Experiment with many of the hundreds of sexual positions.

Of course tender and talented marital lovemaking includes more than a husband going into his wife or a wife mounting her husband. Solomon and his wife enjoyed each others full body. Intimacy is:
Intentional,
Nurturing,
Talking,
Integration,
Mating,

10 Keys to Being Irresistible

God is irresistible. Are you? Check yourself against the following 10 irresistible qualities plucked from the Bible book of Colossians where the Apostle Paul pours out praise for God the Son Jesus Christ and encourages us to lean our entire personality on Him.

1) Be a people magnet. It doesn't matter if we are an introvert or an extrovert. Irresistible people connect with other people cultivating the God in believers and introducing Him to others.

We usually first learn to be people magnets by being parented by people magnets. Mother Theresa said, "Try to put in the hearts of your children a love for home. Make them long to be with their families. So much sin could be avoided if our people really loved their homes."

Love is not natural. Christ in us gives us the strength to make the choices to love hour by hour and day by day. He teaches us to cultivate an inner life focused on finding detailed and varied ways to please God and people.

God designed for children to come out of the love of God and spouse. A marriage to God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Ghost and to each other produced the Palmer siblings, one of whom is named Keke. African American Keke Palmer, who starred in the movie Akeelah and the Bee, says that her parents introduced her to God and helped her to form a good relationship with God that extended to loving herself and other people.

Pampering ourselves, our marriage, family and friendships with time and attention need not be about spoiling people but rather helping everyone to be their best and to live their best possible life.

Spending little time and attention on our relationships guarantees disconnection and if not corrected often leads to dissolution.

2) Cultivate confidence in Christ in all areas of life. Emotional and other types of instability and insecurity are areas where our understanding and belief in God are weak. Sometimes we may feel, "I'm not loveable;" "I'm unworthy;" and other soul destroying ways. Our feelings are often a product of our self-talk or in response to the way someone is treating us.

God loves us and forgives us of all our sins and all the sins of others. No Biblical reason exists not to love ourselves and other people. When we feel unlovable, unworthy or some other unappreciative way, it's because of sin. Talk to God about it. Get it straightened out. Problems don't go away on their own. They have to be dealt with.

If we are not receiving the love of God, then where love hasn't reached, it cannot be given out. We are designed by God to give out love in overflowing abundance. Jesus Christ says in John 13:34-35 the Message Bible, "Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other."

3) Refuse to be a slave to impulses. Conduct a careful, orderly, thoughtful way of life that examines impulses against the teachings in the Bible and chooses that which is in line with the Word.

Leaning on God is not passivity. God conquered the chaos and created the Garden of Eden. Believers are conquerors like God. We make small choices all throughout the day, day after day, that will eventually produce positive, purposeful plants of truth and other things that are good or weeds of wickedness. Few infidelities start one day out of the blue. Most infidelities are the creeping vines of complacency that overgrew a previously cultivated garden of love.

Some experience infidelity as anticipation and exhilaration from the secrecy, the forbidden sex, the idea that someone really gets us and is willing and eager to fulfill our fantasies. Meanwhile all the potency of sexuality and other sensuality was available in the marriage if we had aggressively and consistently cultivated the time and attention necessary to have a strong, sublime marriage. To know someone and to be known by someone deeply is a spiritual, mental and physical endeavor that does not happen by accident and without a great deal of prayer and practice. When we say, "I do," it doesn't mean, "I'm done working on making sure our relationship stays well watered and wonderful."

George Foreman, a Christian minister, husband, father of 10 children, African American, entrepreneur and championship boxer, says, in his sermon The Power of a Smile, "All of us can get up out of that bed every day and make this world a better place by just smiling . . . . We all can be nice."

Marriage can be absorbing if we cultivate our garden of love. Absorbing love, unswerving loyalty need not be complex. Sharing and connecting can be simple. Meet after work and walk and talk a couple of miles in the shopping areas followed by more conversation over a meal. Some couples run or exercise together. Some couples study the Bible together. Talk and find some ways that are enjoyable for both spouses to fellowship frequently that is fun and fosters faithfulness.

Mastering the impulse to do nothing in a relationship makes us irresistible; trying shows caring.

4) Increasingly become immovable in Christ. Being immovable in Christ is not stubbornness but a committed, continual surrendering of sins like selfishness. Our consistent change into Christ-likeness is irresistible. If we are cooperating with God, the person we were when we first met God, will evolve into someone more like Christ.

While we will not be perfect in this earthly life, we can be thankful for where we have come from, were we are at and where we are going. Thanksgiving is irresistible. It's wonderful to be wanted and willing to improve. Contentment is not static.

5) Think, talk and act in compassionate truth. Living in the truth requires courage. A survey found that 80 percent of Americans believe that sex outside of marriage is wrong. Yet another study by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control found that about 85 percent of women and 91 percent of men have engaged in premarital sex. Peggy Vaughan estimates in her book The Monogamy Myth that nearly 60 percent of men and 40 percent of women have engaged in sex outside of their marriage.

Often when we contradict our value system, the body reacts with actual physical and/or emotional pain. Some get headaches, others nausea, some a bad stomach. Some succumb to various addictions. Some experience the slipping away of self-esteem. Some experience some other type of harm.

Our bodies are interconnected. When we do good and when we sin, it affects spirit, intellect, emotions and physical body.

Unified belief and behavior is irresistible. Not many admire marriages that last fewer than 12 months, but many do admire long-term unions like the nearly 30 year marriage of Hollywood celebrities and Christians Denzel and Pauletta Washington.

6) Stop allowing negative stuff to stick to you. All our sins have been forgiven. God wiped the slate clean, so we can wipe it clean too. Colossians 2:13-15 New Living Translation Bible says, "You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross."

To meditate on what's wrong with you or bad circumstances is foolish nonsense that will fail to endear us to others. Constant complaining is irritating.

When bad things happen cooperate with God to get over them quickly and to learn how not to go there again!

Unflappable is irresistible. Living in self-pity sucks the life out of relationships.

7) Celebrate special events symbolizing love while recognizing they are not the substance of love. Weddings are wonderful, but the real wonder is a long-term, loving marriage. When scanning magazines available at mainstream news stands, magazines dedicated to weddings far outweigh those dedicated to marriage. Our culture often does not conform to Christ.

Celebrate the symbols while concentrating on the substance. Many of us want to be married, but studies show many are not willing to carefully select marriage partners, do the work to be an ideal partner and continuously nurture and grow our marriages. Approximately 75 percent of us marry once. Twenty percent marry twice, and five percent will marry three or more times.

Keep hope alive. Just because we have never been married or divorced once, twice or more times does not mean that God doesn't have a good marriage in mind for us. Nelson Mandela married his sweetheart and third wife, Graca Machel, on his 80th birthday.

A lot goes into a marriage. One thing that seems to vanish over time is compliments. Sincere, specific compliments shared throughout the day are irresistible. Tell your wife that you delight in the moles sprinkled on her neck and breast; the peaks and valleys of her curves; the marvelous way she fends off sibling rivalry; the superior way she keeps money from seeping out of the household budget; or whatever things are special and specific to your spouse. The more special you make her feel, the more aroused she gets; the more sex you want. Husbands love compliments too that appreciate their qualities of character and accomplishment.

When we aren't saying things that build up our spouse, we are tearing down our marriage. Few people want to have sex with a spouse who does not woo them with wonderful words and ways. A sexless marriage is often a loveless marriage.

8) Be open-minded to novel ways of living the truth. God desires us to be easily pliable to His touch changing whatever needs to be changed or even eliminated. This means that we may be trying a lot of things before we find the right fit. Continual self-improvement is irresistible.

Christian and Chinese American Cookie Lee was disappointed that her mom's 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. employment caused her to miss a lot of events in Lee's childhood. Lee wanted to be in the workforce and still have plentiful time together as a family. So for seven years before she had children she turned a hobby into a one-woman, part-time jewelry-making business while working a full-time job. After seven years she was making enough in her business to quit her daytime job. To have a family that she could spend plenty of time with while growing her business, she hired sales consultants to start their own businesses under her's.

Some good, Bible-study questions to ask are: "How does this relate to my reality?" "Are my beliefs really in agreement with the Bible?"

Lee did a lot of prayer, research and asking questions to make her dream of being there for her family a lot work out while prospering in her jewelry-making business.

Some are against women in jobs, businesses and/or ministries and try to put guilt trips on women so engaged. However, in the Bible Priscilla was a tent maker and had a church in her home with her husband, Aquila. Lydia was a business woman selling fabrics dyed in purple. Rachel was a shepherdess. Deborah was a prophetess and judge. Esther was a queen.

God placed some novel things in you that He designed to be developed.

The novel inspires people to pursue us. John, the husband of Cookie Lee, pursued her by joining her business creating more time together and more money.

9) Excel in helping and pleasing people within Biblical boundaries. Those who do the minimum hurt people.

An African chief invited the men of his tribe to a feast. The chief provided all the food and asked that the men of the tribe bring a jug of wine. One man of the tribe named Ali wanted to go, but he didn't have wine. His wife suggested that he buy the wine noting that it wasn't expensive. Ali responded, "How foolish to spend money when there is a way to go free! It won't hurt to add one jug of water to the pot of wine." When the day of the feast arrived Ali and the other men of the tribe poured his jug into a large pot. After all the guests arrived the chief commanded the servants to fill everyone's glass. Suddenly a cry arose from the crowd lamenting the taste of water instead of wine. Not only Ali but others had decided to do the minimum by bringing water instead of wine.

Becoming absorbed in a clean, creatively decorated house and abandoning cuddling and creative entertainment with our spouse is a way some wives do the minimum. Some husbands do the minimum by thinking, talking and acting out the attitude, "My job is number one in my life."

10) Live more for we than me. We want others to make sacrifices that show they want us.

In the Bollywood film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Imran is a character who found out a year ago the father who raised him is not his biological father. As a part of a bachelor, road trip with two friends through Spain, Imran decides to visit his biological father. While smoking a cigarette his biological father, Salman, explains that he abandoned Imran and his mother before Imran's birth because at age 25 he did not want the responsibility of fatherhood; his soul was and still is only fed by his art and world traveling. Salman thinks that me is better than we, but even he has to cover up his pain through a nicotine addiction.

Irresistible people find ways to weave together responsibilities and dreams.

Greek Australian Christine Caine was active in Christian singles ministry. Many told her that marriage and kids would slow her down. However, she and her husband, Nick and daughters, Sophia and Catherine, travel the globe sharing Jesus Christ with others and have ministries, like Equip and Empower, that help others plant churches and fight human trafficking among other things.

John Tillotson, a Christian leader of the 1600s, said, “Ignorance and inconsideration are the two great causes of the ruin of mankind.” Avoid ignorance and inconsideration by learning how to solve problems by incorporating people with passion, and then doing it.

Making we more important than me nurtures marital love and sex. Enjoy marital sex. We is designed to be wonderfully irresistible. It's spiritual and logical that a popular sexual position is called the "missionary." If you are married, try a twist on the missionary where the husband kneels and straddles his wife's leg while she’s lying on her left side. From here, she should bend her right leg around the right side of his waist—allowing full access to her vagina, her clitoris and her other body parts.

How Gross Can Be Good

Often we think of bowel production as gross, but it is really good because God created it. Where would we be if we could not rid our bodies of bowel movements?

Sometimes bowel movements are called "waste." Yet beauty products like mascara and lipstick may contain bat guano, which is bat bowel movements!

One of the top sexual fantasies is to make love in plain view of a large mirror or multiple mirrors. Sounds gross to some, but God gave us eyes and made these along with the rest of our bodies both of which God says are good.

Why not consider different, creative ways of lovemaking? Perhaps our spouses would enjoy a full moon with finding a way to combine privacy, open curtains and sessions of fiery lovemaking. Or spouses may go the bathroom; turn down the lights; light up the scented candles; turn up the music; lock the door; relax as no one is likely to disturb us during steamy sex. Or what can we think of and act out to express ecstatic lovemaking with our spouses? The National Survey of Sexual Health and Behavior reports that the more sexual positions a woman engages in with a man during a lovemaking session the greater the potential for orgasms. A spouse who asks us to try something new in sex is not necessarily influenced by Satan. The inspiration may be from God! God the Son Jesus Christ says in John 10:10 Amplified Bible, "The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows.)"

We only live this earthly life once. Live it well. When was the last time we praised and worshiped God for bowel movements and for creative lovemaking? If we have received God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Ghost, God has already given us permission to enjoy this life with Him and with people in eager anticipation of life with Him and with His people in heaven. Hebrews 9:27-28 New Living Translation Bible says, "And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him."

When we don't treat our sexuality and all of our body well we are disrespecting our Maker;  we are not recognizing God for the genius He is; we are calling God a liar for He said that all He created was good, very good. Why not say and act out the belief that bowel production is good and not gross; creative marital lovemaking is good and not nasty or sinful? Perhaps a vacation is needed to spark some new marital creativity? -- sex under a natural waterfall, sex in a field of daisies, sex at a bed-and-breakfast, sex in a hotel skyscraper overlooking a city, sex etc.

Some ways to enjoy the good in what might be falsely considered gross, nasty and/or sinful are:
  • Receive the love of God.
  • Give the love of God to ourselves and our spouse.
  • While living by Biblical principles is liberating, refuse to live rigidly by a set of human-made rules.
  • Seek to aggressively see the benefit in all of God and God's creation.
  • Be continuously willing to try new things. Keep the good. Turkish-American Mehmet Cengiz Oz, MD, MBA, surgeon, writer, television and radio personality, among other things says in "My Best Life Lesson" for Woman's Day magazine, "Life is a balance between change and constancy."
  • Learn to empathize with others who are not like us. Distinguish between style and substance. Some things are not sins, but style issues.
  • Learn about as many ways of doing things as possible.
  • While it is true that believers will receive new bodies in the heavenly life, Jesus Christ also nourished His earthly body, and counsels us to love others as we love ourselves. Shed all thinking contrary to the truth that God designed our bodies for good not evil.
  • Think frequently in a garden of thought patterns that cultivate, cherish and celebrate sexuality and marital sex. Weed out those thoughts that don't cultivate, cherish and celebrate sexuality and marital sex.
Talk With God Throughout Today: God, You are a Genius and a Lover. Help me to see Your good, creativity, joy, love, brilliance in things that I think are gross.
Please leave a comment sharing something that is a foretaste of heaven that may be in disguise.
